Since you're on Windows the first suggestion would be to use DirectX, not OpenGL. Pretty sure dev posts have said it works better with less issues, and OpenGL is there mostly as a backup if DirectX doesn't work for some reason. Find your settings file and look for a line with 'force-opengl' - if it's =true, put a ';' in front of it to comment it out, save, and launch factorio. Note it may be in there multiple times, so if you find one keep searching after to make sure it's not duplicated.

If that crashes too, post the log from that. It'll at least help eliminate a potential cause.
