What do you mean it does not work for any other inventories?

Re: [0.15.19] saving blueprint doesnt save name

That is a bit misleading here. I thought that "save blueprint" means save the entire blueprint and the name is a part of it. There isn't even a message to warn that the name isn't saved. So the button actually means this ? "save blueprint (but not the name because it is not a part of ...

join empty server

You changed it to not pause the game when someone joins but I don't think that makes sense if the server is empty.

Re: forum cursor hard to see

Another bad design idea was to put black text on a grey background. It looks like nobody will fix this so I just fixed it for myself with an addon. Those are the changes that I'm using now and it looks like this. http://i.imgur.com/ARrWz21.gif .postbody { width: 85%; } .postprofile { width: 12%; } ....

Re: multithread

I'm playing on a server with a 100h map and joining takes over 5mins or sometimes never because of all the catching up time and sometimes it goes in reverse.

Re: multithread

Thanks for the quick anwers. You could get DDR4 Ram with higher mhz. But it'd have to be compatible with your motherboard. Resulting in you having to upgrade your motherboard & CPU just to upgrade to insane ram In that case, I would recommend upgrading CPU, Mainboard and Memory (and possibliy al...

Re: multithread

As far as I can see it with my monitoring tools (CPU,RAM,GPU) there is no component that is being used more than 50% while running factorio.

If its memory bandwith then what can I upgrade on my PC to let factorio run better?

multithread

Will there be multithread support for factorio in 1,2 or 10 years?

It's a bit annoying when the computer has enough performance left but the game has trouble to keep up. You can see that very easy when you try to join a (very) big map in multiplayer and the catching up bar goes in reverse.

Re: big map = long catching up

I don't mean that you have to wait longer to donwload the map.

I mean that catching up once the map is downloaded takes way too long probably because the CPU is NOT even used completly. (look at the screenshot even the cores that do stuff are still below 50%)

big map = long catching up

Why does it take so long to catch up on the map when you are trying to join a server? It would make sense if my computer isn't fast enough but on a big map it takes me 5min to join while the CPU is only at 20%, RAM is 10GB used from 24GB, GPU at 5% and GPU RAM at 2,2GB of 4GB. It doesn't make sense....

Re: [0.15.18] blueprint window

It happend again but without the blueprint window :/

I checked how much PC was doing and:
CPU 30%
memory 30% (6GB)
GPU 10%
GPU memory 50% (2GB)

It doesn't look like my pc can't keep up.

Re: [0.15.18] blueprint window

As far as I noticed it its always when another players is joining the server. (I didn't see anything about not keeping up on my own PC.)
I don''t think my blueprint library is that big but I have stuff like the still alive song as a blueprint and thats pretty big.

[0.15.18] blueprint window

The blueprint window can sometimes get stuck in multiplayer. I try to close it and it takes 30sec to close and then it reopens immediently and it mostly takes 5mins until its back to normal.

Re: Factorio Roadmap for 0.15 + 0.16

Mining productivity is not really the best option at least in its current form. In order to double the ores gotten from mines, you need mining productivity to be 50. That gobbles up enormous amount of resources and you probably need even more time for extra resources gotten from productivity to bal...
