Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Parts of the wiki are outdated right now because I'm faster at developing than documenting. I will gradually update the wiki when I find the time. Manager mode option has been removed in 1.10 because it is no longer necessary. MMF now supports having multiple versions of one mod installed, even for ...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Links shouldn't be a problem, ModMyFactory is generating them itself. They only cause problems if they result in an infinite directory loop. To avoid having MMF generate loops read the Wiki on how to choose locations: https://github.com/Artentus/ModMyFactory/wiki/The-Settings#factorio-location The m...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I can't reproduce this on a fresh install.
Make sure you have write permissions wherever Factorio is installed as well as in the location you have set in your settings. Run MMF as administrator if in doubt.
A slow harddrive or a lot of (large) savegames can potentially make this take a while as well.

0.17 update
Great new guys! Turns out the mod GUI was bugged and the multi-versions support didn't work correctly. It's fixed in 0.17.9: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=66941 But that means the 1.10 prerelease is now invalid. I'll remove it until I can implement support for the now working ...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I rather overestimate timeframes instead of missing them.
But I did finish it faster than I though.
Let's see how fast I can get this to a stable release so you can use it. So far I've not received any bug reports.

[0.17.6] Mod active version non-functional
I'm not sure if this is actually a bug or if this feature just hasn't been fully implemented yet, that's why I'm asking. 0.17 introduced a new feature that allows for multiple versions of the same mod to be installed simultaneously, which fixes many incompatibility issues with servers. All of the in...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
It really does seem like the feature is not fully implemented yet. The selection does exist but it doesn't do anything. You don't even have to restart the game, simply leaving and reentering the mod list resets it. Anyway I will just ignore this for the time being and use my own system. If it gets f...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I have a different, more elaborate settings system planned, but it will not be part of 1.10.

0.17 update
Alright so since 0.17 has dropped I have looked into the new mod handling. From my observations the current version 1.9 of ModMyFactory is compatible with Factorio 0.17, however you obviously don't get the multi-version support. But here comes the problem. The new system that allows for multiple mod...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Small update, I've been back for a few days and have been hard at work for MMF 1.10 before Factorio 0.17 releases. Currently the biggest feature you can look forward to is support for multiple versions of the same mod, alongside this the whole updating process has been reworked as well. I've done th...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Just a little heads up, according to the latest FFF news it is possible that I will not be back home before 0.17 goes public. In case this does happen I want to inform you that the current version of ModMyFactory will most likely not work correctly with 0.17, it may even be completely non-functional...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Ideally MMF would merge the files directly and only keep exactly one blueprint storage file for all installations. However I am not sure if that is at all possible since the file is probably serialized directly out of the game. I currently do not have the ability to work on such things (or a whole l...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
You need to place it in the installation directory of your managed installation. Where these are located depends on your settings, you can easily get there with "View -> Open Factorio folder". There you just need to identify the installation you want (if you only have one it's easy as it's...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
The blueprint library is saved in a file called 'blueprint-storage.dat'. That file can either be found in '%appdata%\Factorio' if you used the installer or Steam, or in the games installation directory if you used the manual ZIP package. The place where ModMyFactory holds it's managed installations ...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I'd like to get some feedback on an upcoming feature so it can turn out useful to people. I am working on making multiple version of the same mod existing simultaneously happen. I received multiple requests for this as it appears to be a common problem that different servers use different versions o...
