Re: Fluid Mechanics Still Broken, 6 Years Later?

Are there any plans to fix this core mechanic? And if not, what are people's work arounds? Just use single pipes with one producer and consumer each? Avoid pipes as much as possible and barrel everything at source and unbarrel when it's consumed? Wing it and ignore the fact that fluids move unpredi...

Re: Filter inserters should allow using the items signal count as stack size

TL;DR Inserters should be able to use a stacksize set by the signal of the item they pick up. @OP : I'll link a couple threads hereunder. Can you confirm if they're all globally the same suggestion (or close enough) OR trying to address the same issue (or close enough) ? If they do, I'll merge them...

Re: Friday Facts #401 - New terrain, new planet

I wasn't aware there was such room for improvement with Nauvis map generation. I had gripes with the cliffs, without ever being able to elaborate what I didn't like in them, will definitely try with them when 2.0 is released. I also have issues with the starting area's layout. I remember at some poi...

Re: Expansion hype thread - Any updates on when/if there will be an expansion?

Anyone knows if early early adopters of Factorio (bought it way back in early days) will qualify for a free update? … 2.0 was a paid DLC, right? (Sorry, did forgot if it was stated, at all) I don't have any official source, but I would personally be VERY surprised : Wube's stance has always been : ...

Re: Above 60 fps (120 or 144).

For me, the "No" from the devs is definitive. I let the thread unlocked so that modding initiatives around this subject can be discussed, and people can see them when searching for posts about higher refresh rates. If people keep posting to "up because that would still be cool", ...

Re: Quality level names poll

[Koub] I do read this thread, albeit with a little latency : can't be moderating h24, I have a life of my own. Moderating did itch me a lot, but I decided to resist despite the tone that was displeasing me. If the form keeps bothering me past this post, I will take my scissors out and moderate back...

Re: Friday Facts #400 - Chart search and Pins

One detail that would really help on the weekly update would just to tell us at the start when these changes are implemented. Like is this in the latest update or a future update? Pretty much everything in the FFF since they reinstantiated them will come when the expansion will come out, which will...

Let's please not make Q1 "basic", that feels a bit like you're "supposed" to use higher quality tiers, when quality is supposed to be optional.
Except qualities only start appearing when you start using them, so Q1 being "basic" is not an issue.

Shameless self-advertisement for an old suggestion : https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?p=380450#p380450 (and subsequent post : https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?p=570407#p570407, even if the whole discussion was interesting). Loose correlation so I won't merge any topics, but if my s...

Nope. Stop. You are confusing me with someone else here. I am in no way making an implication towards the disease. Please do not confuse that. My usage of the word is very directly the action of. Nothing more. Then, don't use the word 'hoarding.' It has a negative connotation and is usually associa...

Thank you Koub, and I want to thank Gregorious too as he actually managed to convince me to change my playstyle AND prove you wrong - one CAN try and convince someone to change to a better play style, it might just work so long as they're nice and understanding about it! It's a game, not a lifestyl...

"Super-fast" at one or two science packs per thirty minutes. Man you had this conversation in a trillion threads already, does it need to be here as well? [Koub] Pretty much this. I had the awkward sensation of dejà-vu, I'm pretty sure I've read this exact same argument a couple months ag...
