Re: Friday Facts #407 - Automating a soundtrack
This concerns today's and past week FFFs. 1. If Verdi's Dies Irae was included in the Factorio Nauvis playlist, players would be distracted. No matter if you set the volume of the track to 2%. They would be VERY distracted the first time they hear it, and then a little ...

Trans-Nauvis RR
After I launched my first rocket, I wondered what the edge of the map looks like. 15 months later, I completed a rail line to the northeast corner of my solo play / vanilla /default / freeplay map. Playtime: 2772 hrs (11/28/22-4/14/24) Filesize: 3093 MB Length of rail line from the 0,0 coordinate: ~...

Re: Friday Facts #406 - Space Age Music
... Fulgora preview track was on the right path, it sold the unique character of the planet without breaking too much from what we're familiar with on Nauvis. This could easily have been applied alongside the orchestral elements to Vulcanus, etc. and I'd have had zero issues hearing the orchestral. ...

This is awesome! I kinda wish Nauvis also gets a music upgrade. It's nice, but the new themes are just on a totally new level, they are truly awesome, creating an atmosphere that really sucks you in! I created this forum account just to ...

Re: Friday Facts #405 - Whole belt reader, New logistics GUI
With this new logistic network UI, could we get something similar for circuit network UI's? Anyone who plays SE will know the pain of trying to read all the signals from your first rockets that're sending stuff into nauvis orbit. Being able to see those in a UI would be glorious.

What am I missing? Lua API
... figure out what I´m missing. I guess its pretty simple... The code: --control.lua script.on_load(function() local surface = game.surfaces["nauvis"] surface.create_entity({ name = "big-biter", position = {15, 3}, force = game.forces.player }) end) The game tells me: https://i.imgur.com/3c5oAXh.png ...

High Temp Steam > Coal Liquefaction Bonus
... I don't really mind, I'm not a number cruncher. I think this would work well with the expansion as well. The idea of transporting fuel cells from Nauvis to other planets, in order to boost Coal Liquefaction, with I presume the exception being Vulcanus as lava is hot enough to plug directly into ...
