Sure, i can reproduce it in 1 of 2 cases. But as said it probably is just too fast mouse movement again.

I see, didn't think of the rendering and the update not being synchronized.

@Loewchen this is a bit different from the related bug, since here the preview was already rendered, but still not placed.

[0.17.76] Default Orientation of entities is inconsistent

tldr: while most entities face towards the north on the default orientation, some other like chemical plants or inserters are facing towards the south instead. This makes the rotation experience inconsistent when playing the game.

It does not seem to be the Memory.
I ran memtest86 twice for 2,5 h each and did not get any errors.

I have downloaded a clean install of Factorio after this crash and didn't get another one ever since. Since I updated this very instance from 17.0 to 17.74 with every single update out there, there may also be the possibility of file corruption or an failed patch that caused the crashes. I was the host, but i think Rseding is right, i did move the mouse too fast.
It's quite annoying i do move it too fast so consistently though...

When you check the replay checkbox, the settings gets remembered during this session, even when starting a new map.
However after a restart this setting is lost again :( .

PS: I love the replay functionality! Please keep supporting it.
