The main reason as I understand it is lack of 3d artistic workforce.
Your assumption would be false.
Artist created stuff, while important, hasn't really held back any release to my knowledge. In last few months as LOT of artist time has been put into re-creating textures in high resolution. Devs ...

Time to do the There Is No Spoon Achievement and I will have all the Achievements before Tuesday comes around.
I did that this week. As I've played with mods around 99% of the time, I had to do most of them. I had done a previous run of "complete the game/thanks for fish/no bots/no solar/no lasers ...

In lategame even on i7 3,8Ghz cpus pollution calculations are slowing down the game.
I *highly* doubt it's calculations on pollution that cause the slowdown. Dealing with pollution should take fraction of what it takes to deal with, say, inserters.

Third icon, Mr fusion?! You Devs are Such a tease!
It's the portable fusion reactor icon that has existed in the game for a loooong time.

I got sick two days ago. I'm almost certain I'll be healthy again by the release date. This kind of makes me sad
Will there be any new achievements or changes to old ones?

If you haven't launched 1000 rockets and built a >1RPM base... there's a lot more fun to be had.

I'm personally hoping that they'll add a few more achievements one can spend time getting while mods update.

However, a good practice is too make frequent builds (I think to Agile Manifesto). So, why don't you give us some kind of Steam Beta Code in the forum, with a big warning : "These builds will crash or corrupt your save". So we could access some staging builds and satisfy our thirst :) We definitely ...

Has any dev mentioned what would happen with the speedrun achievements after 0.15? I would assume it'll take more time to complete the game after the update than it does in 0.14.

My guess is it'll be here within 1-2 weeks at most unless they find some major issues in their internal testing. In last FF they said they have found suspiciously few problems.

Re: 1.0 without endgame?
We have some plans for DLC, or a free update
Probably its WAAAY too early to worry but paid DLC would probably be pretty bad for community in sense that it'd split mods by according to who owns or doesn't own that DLC.
Personally, I'd get the DLC anyway and I'd be willing to pay way more for it ...

That's a 500W engine according to the discription. You'd need 120 of those to power your first lab.
Considering we have solar panels that are orders of magnitude better than the panels we have on Earth, I don't think it's too bad to scale up wind power in similar scale.

Re: Parrallel processing in games & applications
There is also the thing that multithreading can ever only give *at best* linear scaling with core count.
By the way, there is super-linear speedup . Allthough that is something you wouldn't count on / expect.
Pretty much the only time this can happen is if you are memory-bound in a single thread ...

Re: Parrallel processing in games & applications
The longer you wait the worse it will get because your single-threaded improvements will generally create causality constraints that don't work across multiple threads.

Re: Development and Discussion
The part that turns kinetic energy into electricity stays roughly the same, but now you have to mount in on top of a very tall structure that has to withstand extreme weather, and capture a large amount of energy from wind without breaking.
