heres the log file
for some reason it now generated one using the current version of the scenario. I have no idea why it didnt make one before loading up the earlier version of the map...

good news, the older version of the map being smaller managed to generate a log! good thing i actually kept them xD
its only 5000KB smaller and that seems to make the game spaz out for some odd reason

I will try again and see if it will generate one this time. welp the game does the same thing. It doesnt even give a crash message it just closes in an instant with no logs being generated. I have a try and you will see it does the same thing even in 0.17.5... I wish i was doing something wrong to h...

loads fine if i revert back to 16.51... good thing i stopped working on this map to wait for the next update just in case it would have been a complete waste of time :P would suck to have to start over but I am sure you guys are going to find a fix, if not i guess ill have to start from scratch but ...

Would like to start working on vanilla factorio map project but i get an instant crash that doesnt even generate a log while loading the save to work on it.

yeah it should be in the scenarios folder. you need to go to users/.../appdata/roaming/factorio/scenarios in there create a folder and give it a name and put the blueprint file in there. Whatever name you will give the folder will be the name of the scenario. In case it needs to have a specific name...

why wouldn't diagonal walls be useful? I mean making the sprites shouldn't be too hard especially when stuff like this should be added instead of reworking belt sprites since that takes alot more time to make... Diagonal walls would drastically change esthetics and the way we build defences in a goo...

I think it could be optimized and simplified by simply making it so any module you place down would merge like pipes, they could share the same code and would be just as useful!

I really agree with you on that :P Honestly I hope they do add this because factorio would pretty much become an endless exploration sandbox and it wouldnt get boring! New biomes should be put aside on the other hand considering theres already alien biome for that and it really does a great job at a...
