OTTD has too many different signal types...

Re: Buy OST w/o owning the game
The OST is available in ogg format in the game's data directory, assuming you own a copy of the game... It really isn't hard to find.

Re: Simple(st) Reactor Fuel control (without combinators)
Rather than using a fish in four chests, use a fish in four belt pieces placed in a loop. It's more compact, and requires no power.

Re: Parallel Computing and Factorio
I would just like to second the thought that multicore processing is hard, really hard.

Which looks kinda ugly, but honestly better than expected for so little work.
If done properly (modifying the 3D model, then rendering), it would at least make the hack less obnoxious.

My current base is all gun and flamethrower turrets, and not a single logistic bot in sight.

Re: Underground belt lane splitting, anyone else hate it?
Nothing wrong with that, aside from needing to deal with the "it's a new part" whiners.
I personally like your idea, certainly better (more flexible, less OP) than any other I have heard.
Would it be possible to make something like that as a mod? Because I would totally use it.

Re: Underground belt lane splitting, anyone else hate it?
I used to use that mod, and it was great.
But for .15 I wanted to do a modless run, which underlined just how annoying this particular problem is to deal with the vanilla way (hence this thread).
A splitter GUI that allowed you to select open lanes would be perfect, but possibly OP.

It can run a full instance of Minecraft, very poorly with view distance turned way down. And ARM GHz is not directly comparable to amd64 GHz for a bunch of reasons.

Look, you can't run Factorio on ARM. ARM chips simply aren't powerful enough. Nothing you can do will change this.

Re: Underground belt lane splitting, anyone else hate it?
I got to thinking about "smart splitters" and realized that they would be very OP. I really like the single tile "split belt" idea though, simple and logical.

Re: Underground belt lane splitting, anyone else hate it?
The problem is, I think the developers have locked themselves into a certain set of belt parts, and refuse to add any more (even when it would be a good idea) because they are too tired of "please add OP belt machine" suggestions. So when a good suggestion comes along they refuse to consider it.

Re: Biter rebalance
Power Armor MK2 with ~5-6 MK2 shields allows you to stand in the middle of a train track and not die when hit by an express (this, BTW is how to get the golem achievement). Trust me, biters are not a problem. When you can run through the fire from your flamethrower without worrying about fire damage ...

Some way to manage belt lanes.
Basically I think there needs to be a way to split belt lanes as opposed to the entire belt.

Re: Underground belt lane splitting, anyone else hate it?
I guess I wouldn't dislike it so if it wasn't for the fact that it is so useful, and there isn't a workable way to do without (that doesn't involve way too many inserters). Frankly there is no other way to make an input balancer (pull evenly from both input lanes even when output is being used ...

Underground belt lane splitting, anyone else hate it?
Currently if you want to split a belt into it's component lanes you need to use a splitter, then sideload onto underground belts pieces facing the right directions. This feels cumbersome and unintuitive.
Personally I think splitters need a GUI that allows you to turn lanes on and off, but really ...

Does this mean we could get multiple toolbars that we could cycle through? I could have my default toolbar, and additionally have a "Train" set, or a "Fluid" set for when I am focusing on those things.

Re: Anyone Ryzen Benchmarks?
It looks like Ryzen suffers from two issues:
1) It has relatively poor single core performance. It's OK, but not great.
2) At the cache level it acts like a NUMA machine. This is fine for software that is optimized for NUMA machines, but can cause cache misses in other software.
