welp, I guess when I'm done with this play-through I'll make a mod to give a warning when the ammo count goes below a threshold for my modded game.
Why not just build radars? I like, that the map feature finally adds a good reason to have a solid radar coverage. Also: Laser Turrets.

I can't mouse over things in the zoomed map view anymore, is that intentional? because I use that to check if I still have enough ammo in my turrets, and I really don't feel like walking all around the base all the time to check that.

As the title says, you can copy settings with item in hand, but you can't paste them.
To reproduce:
place two assembling machines
set the recipe in one
grab item in hand
copy the setting from the first
try to paste it (notice the green lines around the copied assembler)

I think once multiplayer allows for auto-downloading and negotiating of mods when connecting to a server, this will be such a revolution for the variety of games we will be able to play.
It would also be nice being able to play a saved map and making it remember what mods were being used ...

Yes, see the info.json in beltbrush in my desc to see the line you need, it reads something like "factorio version"
