Thank you for reporting and providing description of minimal setup. Turns out this bug caused by same bug as shield insta charge.

Rseding91: That is what I thought too at first, but in this setup the steam engine is filled with hot water and disconnected from pipe.

Actually it crashes in train logic. Did you place new chain signals onto your rail? There is known bug with that. If not, could you upload your savegame?

Thank you very much for providing complete folder. It helped with investigating the bug a lot. It should be fixed for 0.12. The crash was caused by combination of bobenemies mod, which adds neutral "creatures", and hardcorio mod, which calls Lua function killallenemies() every 60 minutes. ...

I believe this is same bug as [ShadowMegaModPack]Crash at 1 hour. Crash at 2 Hour

Some players suggested as workaround to disable bobenemies mod.
