Re: Friday Facts #55 - MP Preview
Well, we're going to be putting that to the test aren't we? :twisted: Well when you have a low bandwidth connection it doesn't necessarily mean that you have a (too) high latency. I think factorio MP will not need much data to be transferred. Even with ISDN (Bandwidth= 8 Kilobyte per second!!) I ha...

I had a lot of fun with this mod, seems also quite balanced, but unfortunately not played since a while? Have you just tried activating the mod? Does it produce any error message?

Re: Maintainance for Solar Pannels
I don't see any logic in looking at solar panels or accumulators as something special. If you want to have any sort of "maintainance-mechanic" for your base, you would have to include everything, things that move especially (belts, assemblers, furnaces ...) All those things would need - du...

The "intermediate products" have their own tab in the crafting window (engine symbol). Everything in that tab works with the modules.

Re: single or double belt lines between furnaces?
You don't need fast inserters, just use regular inserters for this. It uses less energy No, they don't :) They use more energy when they are working, yes, BUT: They work a lot faster and so need less time for completing their tasks thus less energy (or in this case more or less the same energy for ...

I was thinking about this some time ago, after all optimization i ended up with this repeatable design-pattern: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... 9&start=18
C = Chests
P = Medium Power Pole

Hello Tim, thanks for your contribution. Generally spoken, some sort of preview is always nice with any mod, eg screenshots of the ingame models and some information regarding materials needed and capacity/power of the items.

Just wanted to propose the same logic So you could also easy harvest trees on ore-fields (and belts etc..)kovarex wrote:Well, the logic could be really simple, when he started mining non-resource, the mining on resource doesn't start when it is still holding the button from the mining of the first thing.

I have also observed that the prefered input side of your examples sometimes change if one or the other tile directly before the splitters are curved or not. A lot of possible combinations with not really predictable behaviour.

Re: Factorio ripoff
Don't see it as a complete ripoff really. Navigating in 3D makes you (as a player) much less productive in such a game, don't think this "game" will harm the factoriosales in any way . I think the devs do well in waiting for a nearly complete game before going in the big market.

Do you have a videoplayer (like VLC) or a flashplayer (like youtube) open in the background? Then I get those extreme FPS-drops. A fix for this would be nice btw
