Re: Buying on factorio.com vs on Steam
I guess you can maybe get a bulk discount if you buy >100 copies at the same time.

Have we been seeing the same AAA games?AntiElite wrote:Most AAA titles offer the possibility to choose the audio output device (in their audio options)
That said, it's a welcome change. More power to the user.

There's practical limits on the game map. But can be considered infinite for the human experience. Because no way are you ever getting there while playing the game normally. There was a topic on the steam discussion page: http://steamcommunity.com/app/427520/discussions/0/412448158152542286/ Also, t...

That's because ctrl+v is a standard in windows and linux, and cmd+v for OSX I think. It's assumed to be common knowledge. Try it anywhere else and in 99,9% of cases it will work, I assure you

Is it the economic situation that bad that what is essentially a 45% discount(900 RUB is 10,50 euro) is not enough? Brazil has it even cheaper at a 58% discount(€ 8,26 equivalent). Would that be more in line with your pricing standards?

Seriosuly?! Don't be that guy. Actually it was correct to begin with. It's a title of a post, much like the title of a book, movie, or song. All letters in the title should be capitalized. (and, the , with, a, etc being the exceptions) You just became that guy yourself. There is a spelling mistake ...

We made an inserter! [IRL]
Hello fellow Factorio players! For the past 10 week, I've not played Factorio very much because I've been busy: We've been working on an automation project for school as part of my minor Smart Manufacturing& Robotics. It's a robot arm that removes products from a machine and puts them on a strip...

It's been called exploiting a bug by some people, yet the developers don't change this behaviour(didn't they also approve of it?). I call it good engineering when it's apparently just taking advantage of a property of in-universe physics. There's literally a cap on only one half of the tile, it's on...

To be fair, these topics get old quickly. I've seen 2 in the past week alone. So I've likely seen over 30, possibly near or above 50 in the time I've been here.

You should probably try to download the full 0.12.10 instead of just updating. That might fix the missing recipes and items.

I agree this should be added, there's no reason not to. Though water can (and imo should) probably still be excluded.

And no, it has nothing to do with internet speed, this is a 2D sprite based game, it shouldn't take that much to play. Graphical fidelity has very little to do with how much information needs to be exchanged. There's literally tens of thousands of entities in at any one time in the game. Those all ...

I don't think releasing on steam is going to be a benefit to the game all that much. All to frequently, I see big game launches on steam that look like they have had millions of dollars of investment into developing the game/story/graphics/engine etc.. but have low numbers of purchases even after w...

I think that those tracks aren't even in the game anymore, it got a whole new soundtrack a while ago and I think I haven't heard it anymore. If I remember correctly, it was a (legitimate) free track they found somewhere to have at least some music Good work on the track though! the original was over...

Re: Train length [wagon, locomotive]
First off let's set the first thing straight: Factorio works with an oblique projection, not an isometric. An isometric perspective is a special kind of oblique because all 3 axes are rotated 120 degrees relative to the other 2 on the 2d projecton plane: http://i.imgur.com/liLw7U3.png?1 Factorio use...

Look at games that have longevity, real longevity. They all are multiplayer. Do you think a game like minecraft would be anywhere near what it is today without multiplayer? That is where things are at today, wind the clock back 15 years to when I was a kid (okay 20+ ) and single player was all that...

I don't even bother with looking at the size of an oil well. As I play long games, I take it for 0.1/s, and just build on larger groups of wells.
