For direct connections I changed it so the rejection logic will reject for "not whitelisted" before "mods mismatch" which will do what you want. Wow so fast. Thanks :) As for the "click confirm 5 times to join a server": that's not a thing. Nothing in your video shows ...

If you try to join a server it asks and downloads the mods + restart the game (twice) BEFORE it check if you are whitelisted for the server.

(side question why do I have to press confirm 5 times to join a server?)

If you are struggling with memory, you could pack the most important data into structures, which would be easily cached by CPU into cache memory. The L3 cache on my computer right now is just 16MB. Thats too tiny. Factorio needs several GB when running even when considering that a lot of that is so...

I wonder how viable is running multiple Factorio instances on a single PC, playing multiplayer with them, then using one of them to show the map ? I guess that you would quickly get bottlenecked by memory though ? 1) You need 2 accounts 2) It only works if you computer can run the world with 120 UP...

Sadly it's never gonna happen. The devs are obviously ignoring this. You seem to know what's happening in Wube's office quite well, more that most if I may say so. Do you have a source for this, or are you just expressing your own feelings as a fact ? They talk about other features for months / yea...

Why not just "add weather" and make the solar output not constant?

Normal day randomly 10-20% more or less power with a very low chance for a day with only 50% power.

If you don't have the mods enabled for a savegame then it wont sync the mods but instead load the save and remove the modded items.

I think the maximum zoom out is not enough.
I'ts already possible with commands /c game.player.zoom=0.1 but of course that only works for the server admin and disables achievments.

Could we just get a settings to increase that?

The shortcuts on the toolbar are showing the total amount but when you pick anything into your hand you only have the stack limit.
