Re: [0.11.22] [ondra] Game doesn't load when config/mod-list.json is corrupted

The .zip is fine, I got the file okay. Thanks. :)

Now to just find out what's causing it. Both files are filled with zeroes, which means it's neither a partial write, nor a completely empty file. Peculiar.

Thanks. It's a shame the forum won't let you add .json files – I guess changing the file ending might help.

I've made the game ignore config.ini errors. Also saving config.ini and mod-list.json should now be less prone to error (hopefully). This should help the situation.

Could you attach the corrupted files? Even if there is nothing in them, they might still be helpful in trying to track down the source of the corruption.

Re: Autosave for --mp-load-game

In 0.12, there will be a new flag, --start-server, that will start a server in headless mode. This mode also takes --autosave-interval and --latency to do exactly what you're asking for. So: Done.

Re: Silly thoughts about Science Packs

The scientists play with their toy mini-factories built using the inserters and belts until inspiration strikes them and they suddenly churn out an idea towards the required goal. Or maybe they build mini-factories to produce some highly specialised lab equipment. Maybe we could feed them crafting m...

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees

A way to make the trees even more fancy would be to give them background sounds, like factory buildings have. Walking through a forest, you could hear leaves rustling in the wind and birds chirp. Maybe this could depend on pollution level, so forests near your factory sound lifeless but forests furt...
