Use efficiency modules everywhere by default. They reduce the power drain and pollution generated. Use speed modules maybe on Pumpjacks and maybe with Assembly Machines making something slow. click on the pole. the infopanel to the right should show the signals that are going through it. if that doesnt have the signal with the wood count then you didnt connect the chest.

You will never get full 510kw*20 from that setup, once you start drawing more then 18 engines of power from it, the last 2 will turn off, because at full blast the first 18 will eat all the water.
