Fix was merged into dev branch of Angel's so should be fixed with the next release.

Re: Development and Discussion
I finished the crystal production tweaking. The example I show here is taken from a previous post, producing crystal shards at a rate of 10/s. The main points here are power consumption and the required amount of crafting machines. The crafting machines are shown below, and roughly count for 50 MW ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Just noticed that Concrete Bricks now take Stone bricks as input? Just curious - why bricks, not stone or crushed stone? Concrete typically takes agregate, not fully formed bricks. Admittedly slag is already an input (as is silicon ore) so that seems to be taken care of.

Re: [0.18] Sea Block Pack 0.4.4
If you want to unzip Angel's petrochem, it's a 1-line fix. I have submitted a PR for it over at Angel: https://github.com/Arch666Angel/mods/pull/76 I expect it to be included in the next version of Angel once they have a chance to test &merge, but you can run with it now if you need to. Could y...

Re: Development and Discussion
Bio in special was designed around the idea that you have many options but you will never get all of them unlocked at the start of the game and won't even have all of them midgame, so you have to always work around the things your environment provided you with (gardens, seeds, trees). Having tech f...

Re: Development and Discussion
I came to add some suggestions to farming and I see it is already being discussed :) evandy has said all I wanted to on bio-plastics so I'll just +1 his comment above. I don't want to sound too negative, I do love your mods and I wanted to suggest some ways they could be better. The other things I ...

Re: [0.18.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Hey, I've been playing a Sea block run for a while now and have just gotten up to making Lithium batteries, but I appear to be stuck. I can make 'Lithia Salt (Lithium Chloride)' from brown algae (Which is how a few other people I looked up on youtube made 'Lithium Chloride') , but not 'Lithium Chlo...

Re: [0.18] Sea Block Pack 0.4.4
Red Algae broken in 0.4.4. This seems to be a result of Angel's introduction of Lithia Salt, which does not completely replace Lithium Chloride. Brown Algae produces Lithia Salt, which is unusable. With Bob's pumps disabled we can not produce Lithium Chloride, which means we can not produce Thermal...

Re: Development and Discussion
Ok, I said that I'd sit down and noodle on bio-plastic. (extend this discussion to bio-resin and bio-rubber, I expect they are the same) Industrial Plastic 1: ~175 machines to make 50 plastic/sec from coal @ 130 MW Industrial Plastic 2: ~225 machines from multi-phase oil @ 150 MW Industrial Plastic ...

Re: Development and Discussion
I do like this idea, have a queen small/medium/big biter that has a small chance to appear out of a biter egg. When breeding 2 queens together, these can lay an egg again. This way you can obtain multiple queens and start obtaining eggs that way. I do however want to keep some alien spores in there...

Re: Development and Discussion
Finally a first thoughtful feedback about bio! (Thanks) So you need 370.4 alien spores, which you get from fish. My recommendation is to use Levac Fish Petting and/or Durflurp Jellyfish Petting. These will give the same amount of spores, in half the time (30 instead of 60 seconds). They also have a...

Re: Development and Discussion
It looks like the issue is more that the options selected were bad for producing what you want, more than anything. From what I can see, the process works like this: Get fish going. Either using the breeding or petting option. Petting option produces fish water in half the time, but results in less...

Re: Development and Discussion
Looking through all the new Bio stuff on my Seablock. Trying to determine how I can get a supply of "small biters" to start my biter zoos, given that seablock turns off everything but worms? I can't find any recipes in FNEI to create them (just cut them up into meat, and to breed them). Am...

Re: [0.18] Sea Block Pack 0.4.4
Something has changed with the Circuit icons in Trainwreck's Circuit processing mod. I now have two different "green circuit"s - one is Bob's Electronic Logic Board, and the other is the Electronic Circuit. This is probably an interaction with ShinyBob's which updates a bunch of his icons ...

Re: [0.18.10] OS X fullscreen reserves an extra blank desktop
I meant the blank desktop itself by "weird stuff." I agree that this sounds like a duplicate; I am running with mods, so it is reasonable to assume they are related. Please feel free to consolidate.

[0.18.10] OS X fullscreen reserves an extra blank desktop
Some change in 0.18.10 has messed up fullscreen mode on OS X. It used to be that Factorio showed up a single time in the full-screen app switcher. Now it shows up 2x in the switcher, and one of them has no content. The OS will automatically switch off of it if you try to switch to that one. The actu...

Re: Development and Discussion
[..]I would consider swapping around to follow the standard: (Gray) β> yellow β> red β> blue β> purple β> green. It seems really jarring to have yellow at the highest tier. +1 (And back to lurking.) That's something bob is doing indeed, angel still only does its tiers based on base game (adding ora...

Re: Development and Discussion
I was talking about the angels boards. For reference I'll put them here: Untitled.png Just a heads up, there is a fairly standard color progression based on belts and assembly machines that factorio follows. Bobs has helped to make it more consistent, and shiny angels adjusts some of angels buildin...

Re: Development and Discussion
Will Bobs circuits be supported when playing with Angel component and tech? It is a pity to loose ability to have Bob electronics if Angel circuit will be that easy. Keep in mind that the circuits themselves still require an extra step, each circuit requiring more components: I do plan on changing ...
