Re: Development and Discussion

Why would you need to stack plutonium? it's used to make plutonium-uranium (basicaly uranium) fuel cell and plutonium-thorium (basicaly thorium) fuel cells. And why do you want a net positive loop exactly of deuterium fuel cells instead of a mix of all of them? It gives a challenge to balance them ...

Re: Development and Discussion

... I'd love to see some really complex fluidic process to end up with the heavy water and/or deuterium. I don't think that just "energy intensive" is enough, as you just get tons of energy back OUT with the Deuterium power cells... and the whole process still needs to be power-positive. ...

Re: Development and Discussion

Cupric and ferrous caheins were intended as a baseline for construction and electronic components in industries. So be patient what the guys will make out of it. Always remember that the balance around industries will be different than regular or bobs. Fair enough - Industries will change a lot, so...

Re: [0.18.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion

Bob - Do you have plans to update your ore graphics with the new "randomized" ore icons that the base game gave to Iron/Copper/Stone/etc.? Looks like most of your ores still have the old "flat" icons. no current plans to do anything additional, I already did the random pictures ...

Re: Development and Discussion

Cupric chain ores should be more aligned with ores used in science pack production. I would argue that usage of ore for buildings does not matter - science packs use order of magnitude more ore, especially on marathon/high tech multiplier. Agree with the ores having a purpose, but I would balance C...

Re: Development and Discussion

Yes the cupric did change a bit, this is to compensate the use when playing with components. I plan on having components fully working in the next release, and this will also use the silver for the angel boards and components. I don't think the silicon will be an issue as you'll use plenty to make ...

I updated to the latest version and am getting the following error. Not sure if it's a problem with angelsrefining or SeaBlock. Error loading mods Failed to load mods: Error while loading recipe "slag-processing-5" (recipe): Key "icon_size" not found in property tree at ROOT.rec...

[0.18.8] Processing of config-path.cfg on OS X incorrectly

I tried to follow the instructions on the Wiki https://wiki.factorio.com/index.php?title=Application_directory#Changing_the_user_data_directory , but they are not working... If I put config-path.cfg in factorio.app/Contents - no effect, it does not appear to be read. If I put config-path.cfg in fact...

Re: [0.18] Sea Block Pack 0.4.1

https://i.ibb.co/KxLXrx2/1.png What am I doing wrong)? 1) you have steam engines instead of turbines 2) Are all your heat exchangers at max temperature? They won't all run unless they have temperature to make. You either need to increase demand, or turn the fuel oil off until the temperature goes d...

By the way. This (everything from "Angel's Components" and "Angels Technology" is available from the very beginning of the game) is bug, feature or just beta stage? Screenshot_2020-02-23_06-35-27.png Wow. Angels Components /really/ makes me think Industrial Revolution. I don't h...

Re: [0.17] Sea Block Pack 0.3.8

Anyone know what the current issues are with .18 update or where to find the progress and possibly help? I tried it out yesterday just to see... most of the mods Seablock assembles are listed as incompatible with 0.18, so getting all of them updated will be the 1st step (and it'll take a while, I'm...

Can you remove the "Crystallizing to Uranium & Fluorite" recipe?
Why?
It is the only recipe of its kind and it feels out of place.
Crystallizing to sapphirite and stiratite is there, so it doesn’t stand alone...

Re: [0.17] Sea Block Pack 0.3.8

What's the thinking behind making the whole Jivolite Crystal leaching process Fluoric negative? I know it's that way in Angels, but Seablock adds the whole Calcium Sulfate --> Lime --> Acid Gas --> Extra Hydro-Fluoric process on top, but it still doesn't produce enough to be HFl positive. Shouldn't...

Re: Development and Discussion

There was some talk of hosting it on GitHub and appointing a mod or two from the community, but I have not seen angel chime in with his thoughts on the idea. Hoping that someone can continue to support this mod set.

I guess the idea is that you're supposed to use the extra Fluorite from Mud Washing ?
Um, mud washing provides extra Hydrogen Sulfide, not extra Hydro-Fluoric acid.
