Save file. Yes, now you mention it, there are a fair number of angry bitters..

PS Oxyd thankyou so much for your efforts at improving the pathfinder, it makes me so happy to see the gradual decrease in bitter foolishness.. :D

[Oxyd] [0.17.72] Crash in pathfinder: waitingClients.empty() was not true

I had just pressed "Enter" to send a chat message. I'm playing multiplayer in my friend's game, he is hosting on his computer.

There wasn't anything particularly strange about the message I was sending, no special characters or anything like that.
Chat was working fine up until this point.

Re: Friday Facts #317 - New pathfinding algorithm

This pathfinder improvements is awesome! This looks like the exact explanation for all the "frozen bitters" I always see after an intense shelling. And the new heuristic should take care of it. :> Thankyou for preparing such a detailed explanation of the way the new algorithm works as well...

Re: Version 0.17.70

"Deadly Bitters Tuesday"

I've been anticipating this patch since it was announced that bitters attacks would be less derpy. It did not disappoint! The attacks are much more coordinated and far deadlier with a huge swarm. I think this change makes the game much more exciting. :>

Re: Friday Facts #316 - Map editor Lua snippets & Non-colliding Biters

Thankyou for addressing the bitters mosh pit issue!! I always thought of it like the beat dropping at some rock concert and everyone entering a crazy mosh pit, but mating dance is a good description too :> Like others have already said, I too deeply wish for pathing AI similar to the way starcraft z...

Re: [0.17.68] Multiplayer: saving a blueprint disconnects other player

Hi, my apologies for not responding about this sooner. My friend was away on holiday so we weren't playing. Does it still happen? Yes Does it only happen with this blueprint, or all big blueprints? It's not just this blueprint, it seems to be with any large blueprint I make of our "corridor&quo...

My 100th post. The new landfill graphics look AWESOME and you shouldn't feel guilty at all for not coming up with the best solution yourself. You should feel PROUD that you and the rest of the dev team have the courage and objectivity to listen to the community's suggestions and implement good ones!...

Re: [0.17.68] Biters vs obstacles

I see this all the time. They get stuck on cliffs and things when moving as a group. Not sure if it's related, but they also go insane whenever a large group arrives at the wall. There's a critical moment when they get just out of range of the lasers..... they stop moving as a group and all start tr...

[0.17.68] Multiplayer: saving a blueprint disconnects other player

Me and a friend are playing entirely vanilla, no mods at all. Every time I try to save a large blueprint into a book in "My Blueprints", my friend gets a message "server is not responding" and is disconnected. This happened several times last night, and we were able to reproduce ...

Re: Version 0.17.68

I love the appearance of the new chemical plant. However, one thing I noticed is if the chemical plant runs out of ingredients, the sloshy water inside stops dead. It looks a little bit abrupt.. water doesn't stop dead like that in reality. Maybe one way to make it look better would be to make the a...

I have no particular clue what caused it this time. I was just running back to the base to get some more ammo.

I have a better idea about what might have triggered it this time - this guy was leaving the game just as it happened.
I bet it's something to do with when a player leaves the game.

Re: Friday Facts #309 - Controversial opinions

Bitters should be more aggressive, and probe your defenses I wholeheartedly agree with this, and it's the most important issue to me personally of those listed in the FFF. Right now, the bitters are incredibly weak and foolish! When a sufficiently large group of them arrives at the wall, they sudde...

Re: Friday Facts #309 - Controversial opinions

Boilers shouldn't have a water output During our in-house testing, one of the things we did was invite people who had never played the game before into the office to try the new introduction campaign, while we observed them. One stumbling block that almost every person hit, was connecting their ste...
