You don't need to use padsp. Factorio uses PulseAudio natively. If something is stuck, that probably means your ALSA or PA setup is broken. Killing pulseaudio or rebooting computer sometimes helps.
I never had issues with Factorio audio on Linux. (using for 6 years).

Wube, our of curiosity, are you planning running a Steam (and other channels) advertisement campaign on Factorio?

Unlikely to be fixed. The game is inherently 2D with layers, and 3d effects like that are a hack.

Re: Friday Facts #360 - 1.0 is here!
Congratulations! Thank you for all your amazing work. I hope you are going to grab some well deserved vacations soon. I do like friday factorio facts, but 1) maybe switch to every 2-3 weeks. 2) Move it to thursday. :) I think releasing feature releases (or even bug fix releases) on friday was always...

Re: Friday Facts #354 - Launch party and HR power switch
The switch is pretty cool and lovely, I love how it looks simply a huge wall plug that is controlled by motors. I understand the arcing inside is to make it show when it is active (similar to accumulators), but time will tell if it is a bit too much. Also it is unclear if the arcing is showing all t...

Re: [0.18.34] Bug with radar gui, related to blueprint gui
I wonder about this too. I have a small blueprint with radar few solar panels, power poles and accumulators, which I often place around. It would be nice to see the radar coverage when placing this blueprint. There is an option for showing turret radius when blueprinting in Interface settings. Maybe...

Re: [0.18.34] Low Power icon missing on lab without science packs
I do not consider this to be a bug. Labs do not have any power drain so when they are not working, they do not consume energy. That makes their internal energy buffer to be still full and there is no reason to show the missing power icon. What is the purpose of the "Low Power" icon? From ...

Re: [0.18.26] Factorio hangs forever on startup (linux)
I think the issue might be due to LD_PRELOAD. It is virially propagating to all sub-processes, but it is not a good thing to do with steam overlay library. How about cleaning LD_PRELOAD before calling `lsb_release` ?

LuaControl.mining_state resets every tick, or even earlier.
I am using Linux headless server, 0.18.32. I am using RCON, but same probably applies using other means: Lets say the player's character: local p = game.get_player("b") rcon.print(serpent.line(p.position)) {x = 74.90234375, y = 20.9296875} At (76.9, 19.0), I do have a burner-mining-drill, ...

Re: [0.18.6] IPv6 address in square brackets without port is claimed to be incorrect.
I agree with what quyxkh wrote, but since getaddrinfo() accepts brackets on Windows, for consistency between plaforms I'll just trim the brackets if ipv6 parsing regex fails. It is also easier for me to just do that and finally not see this thread in "new posts", than to start arguing abo...

Re: [0.15.35] - Output from custom commands RCON
Is there any recommended solution for this problem? I want to be able to run a `/silent-command`, and return some value (a string, i.e. using game.table_to_json), back to the RCON client. Only few RCON commands do return back that to the RCON client. like `/help` or `/players`. But not much more in...

Not sure why you are using this particular version of the driver, because for your version of macOS the latest is 378.05.05.25f19 , https://images.nvidia.com/mac/pkg/378/W ... .25f19.pkg

Does it also happen when you set "Full color depth" in Settings -> Graphics?
