Re: How to avoid massive coke consumption?

simple....u do realise using coke to produce coal gas is not very efficient? build a larger syngas plant that uses oxygen, then belt the coke out for lead and do u have access to the high pressure furnace recipe yet? I didn't see anyone suggesting that they were using coke -> coal gas (which is ind...

Re: How to avoid massive coke consumption?

Hi! I have just started playing the py mods and I wonder if there is a way to avoid the massive coke consumption in the beginning of the game (I have SP1 and a few SP2 researches unlocked). The problem is that I need an enormous amount of coke for two things: 1. Energy. Instead of using the vanilla...

Re: pY HighTech Discussion

WHY DONT PEOPLE WAIT FOR THE MODS TO BE FIXED AD JUST AFTER THAT UPDATE ????? I can obviously downgrade to 0.17.34 as a workaround, however reporting issues seems helpful and appropriate. Reporting the issue is helpful, though this particular one was anticipated before the update even dropped. Sugg...

Re: How to avoid massive coke consumption?

Hmmm I did not know its unbalanced yet. Maybe I better uninstall it, or just partly? In terms of this issue in particular, you really just need to be careful to check what tech unlocks and ingredients are needed to build a building before you try to put a chain into effect. I ran into this with nio...

Re: How to avoid massive coke consumption?

Why is Coke Processing 1 unusable? You get the recipe for Red Hot Coke, but you can't manufacture it due to the lack of chemical plant, which is gained much later in the tech tree... So presumably what exactly is going on here depends on which pymods you have. In full Py, you make red hot coke in a...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

not my issue. pYmods never was compatible with omni. Dont expect we work to make this huge mod set compatible with all other 500++ mods around. So, dont hold your breath. But if anyone wanna make pymods compatible, we will give full support. Contact kingarthur directly. I've been playing the PY mod...

That's to be expected re: 17.35. Most large mods will break until edited to take the new changes into account.

Re: pY Petroleum Handling

The most recent version still needs Chromium for crafting SP2. While it is theoretically possible to do that, it is a pain in the ass, because Chromium is not a material found in the starting zone (RSO) and without trains and big power poles it is practically impossible to get Chromium. Or did I ov...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling

Hello Petroleum Handling 1.0.7 - deadlock: Science pack 2 needs laboratory instruments <- nedds rubber <- needs carbon black <- crafted in reformer To craft reformer you needs nexelit plate. To get nexelit ore you needs Science pack 2 Also polibutadiene for rubber is crafted in multi-purpus cracker...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling

I have two more suggestions for improved recipes. engine-unit-02 saves only a bit of aluminum, it uses more everything else. It would need a buff to be usable. And secondly, it would be nice to have rubber-belt recipes for fast transport belt and express transport belt, the same as the yellow trans...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling

I know the hot air recipes are dynamically generated, but some of them need a balance pass. For example, making glass with hot air is 6 quartz ore to 3 glass. By comparison, the first coal gas recipe using crushed quartz is 10:3 while the second one is 10:4, so the hot air one is just better even th...

Can't find Regenerative Heat Exchanger and make Hot Air: https://imgur.com/teQJ9oU 1.0.5 The internal name is presumably something you don't expect so you can't search it easily. It's there in the Petroleum Handling tab in 1.0.5. At some point the alignment between internal names and English locali...

Found a deadlock: To make a molybdenum mine, you need advanced small parts. To make a particle accelerator, you need circuit board 2s, and thus in particular need aramid. To make advanced small parts, you need stainless steel. To make stainless steel, you need aramid. Thus both a molybdenum mine an...

Re: pY HighTech Discussion

Also, having some flavor of storage tank before you've even done some sp1 would be a nice QoL change, because your initial coke production before reaching Coal Processing 1 is very annoying. This is what tailings ponds are for actually I still don't entirely understand how those work, which I guess...

Re: pY HighTech Discussion

So I've been trying to do a pyanodon's mods only 0.17 playthrough, and hit a snag on the t1 circuits... The circuits definitely require fiberboard, and the only way to get fiberboard is from raw fibers. The only way to get raw fibers is from a kicalk plantation, but for some weird reason kicalk pla...

Do i still need these "* -1" and arithemtic "yellow * yellow"? Or does that he automatic? Hi, LTN-Combinator is just a replacement for a constant combinator. You have to connect a LTN-C to a LTN Input Lamp. If you want to control inserters, you still have to use an arithmetic co...

Is making oil from blue algae supposed to be sulfur-positive now? It goes 100 sulfuric waste water => 40 blue algae => 20 blue cellulose fiber => 200 multi-phase oil + 120 sulfuric waste water -> 140 crude oil + 20 more sulfuric waste water. That's a gain of 40 units along with the oil that it prod...

It would be nice if we could get rid of the various "electrolysis" research items along with the unused "electrolyzer" 1-4 recipes. Bob electrolyzers do get used later in the game (for example in lithium processing). It's a little annoying that you unlock them before they're use...
