Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
Fix provided. Still I would hope that it can be considered as an official compatibility fix to the mod in a future update. Thanks, but it's not a great fix, just a hack to get my game running again. It takes away the small iron electric pole as an ingredient so there is no way to reuse them anymore...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
The upper levels of plantation dont even have a recipe. They seem to be still an work in progress and if it wasnt for FNEI or HelMod you would not know they existed. Whereever you're looking at, you got the wrong mod. They do have recipes: https://github.com/pyanodon/pycoalprocessing/blob/master/pr...

Re: When to use Nobium pipes?
Also because physics---a wider pipe will move liquid slower at the same pressure even in real life. At the same pressure, yes; the basic issue is that there isn't really a way to make the "pressure" high enough to get an increase in flow rate from the wider pipe. Factorio's fluid mechanic...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I started a new game, and I can not get quartz ore. I will assume that Crystal Mine MK1 should mine this ore, but it is not in the list of buildings. Installed: - Pyanodons Coal Processing - Pyanodons Fusion Energy - Pyanodons HighTech - Pyanodons Industry - Pyanodons Petroleum Handling - Pyanodons...

Re: When to use Nobium pipes?
My impression from when Bob pipes had different sizes was that there isn't really a parameter for pipes that you can change to meaningfully alter flow rates.

Re: When to use Nobium pipes?
The only reason to use the regular ones other than aesthetics is because you're making them anyway as ingredients for buildings. Other than that you're basically throwing resources away. For mods with as much fluid shenanigans going on as Py or AngelBob, I highly recommend https://mods.factorio.com/...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling
Hi all. Hope life is good and thanks for your hard work. I'm getting an error when trying to run the pymods without pyHighTech: Failed to load mods: __pypetroleumhandling__/data.lua: 188: attempt to index field 'benzene' (a nil value) My mod versions are: Pyandodons Coal Processing 1.2.0 Pyanadons ...

Re: PyMods, wood for red science??
At Coal Processing 1 you get the botanical nursery and its associated recipes for logs, which is how you automate wood in plain Py. Until then you have to chop wood by hand, and quite a lot of it (because both science and also the necessary buildings need a lot of wood). I can definitely say that if...

Re: PyRO Chains Analysis
I installed the helmod and it is very helpful for comparing different ore processing chains, my life is easier now :) Helmod could be better though or i'm just bad at it, like instead for aiming for an end product, how about having a defined input of like 5000 ores, what would the following picked ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Using Py with Bob's and Angels seems to get stuck at the start. Or at least I can't figure it out. You need glass to make flasks. The glass needs Silicon Ore (which is can be obtained by processing Saphirite Chunks) or Quartz Ore (which needs a Crystal Mine). The Crystal Mine needs Transport Belts....

Circuit Processing (part of Seablock, but also available by itself) uses chrome plate to make its final tier of circuit.emp_zealoth wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 6:41 pmHuh, I might add that mod then
Do you know what mods make use of chrome or manganese, beyond bobs or angels?

Re: PyCoalTBaA or the PyCoal Touched by an Angel Compatibility Patch
If pyht mostly replaces it all, I don't think it's something I'd need, personally. I would be interested in Realistic Reactors, though---just asked, and the author said that while it won't break with pymods, it's not balanced for them at all. I am on 1.1.2 and not having this problem. Perhaps you need to run the force technology updates command to sort out your recipes.

Re: pY Petroleum Handling
Two comments related only in that they both pertain to PH: Has anyone tried to run a mega-tholin plant to supply them with miscellaneous chemicals? I find it tempting for its sheer simplicity, but 1000 tholins/s out of unmoduled yellow tholin extractors consumes 280 MW, which seems a bit prohibitiv...

pumpjacks mk01 Fair point, I forgot about that...but do you expect players to actually do that with the numbers as they are? Drilling fluid doesn't seem cheap. Consider two ways to get 100 crude/s before circuit 2 (rounded numbers): 7 small parts, 33 sand, 10 titanium ore, 2 lamps, 42 ash, 33 soil,...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling
Two comments related only in that they both pertain to PH: One of the stated goals of PH is to get you using oil sooner. I don't really see how it achieves that. The small patches that you can tap with yellow derricks seem extremely rare, higher tier patches need circuit 2 or higher, and processing ...
Re: UPS Death
Not really sure what everybody's talking about with RAM issues. For me, memory usage peaks during the load at under 4 GB and during the game itself it is under 3 GB. And as far as I can tell I have all the graphics settings turned all the way up. As for UPS, I'm currently at a 3-4 ms update (so a UP...
