Re: Version 0.18.37
one remark: copy icon for blue prints is using the letter "C", wouldn't it be much better visually to just use the "usual" copy icon, like two sheets of paper one in front and one in the back? That was also my thought, it would fit better with the other icons and would make it l...

Re: Friday Facts #356 - Blueprint library for real
Could you apply the descrition box for combinators ? So each placed combinator have option to add a description what is his role. It is years asked feature, mainly to prevent re-invent wheel feel, when come back to old/imported scheme. The blueprint of an combinator creation have to contain (potent...

Re: Friday Facts #356 - Blueprint library for real
What a pleasant surprise to see improvements coming to the blueprint library before 1.0. And even 2 minutes before what I could already see becoming Factorio Saturday Facts. :) Thank you for this very interesting insight into your life and thoughts. It's nice to hear you managed to find new motivati...

Re: Factorio Paper Cuts
Amusingly, handcrafting is also the only time you'd never have reason to calculate timings in your head. You forgot speedruns :P I can't imagine both expecting a speed run to go well, and relying on calculating hand crafting times in my head while on a clock. Of course, I can't really imagine mysel...

Re: Friday Facts #352 - New website
I just realize how it's really weird that the searchbar background takes on the same color as headlines when you click it. And also because of the color the mod author name draws more attention than the mod title above it.

Re: Friday Facts #352 - New website
I think the new website looks very nice overall, though there are a few things I want to give feedback on: The blog design is a step back compared to the old design, especially in terms of typography and spacing. This may apply to other parts of the website as well, but specifically for the blog I t...

Re: Friday Facts #352 - New website
Obligatory solution to the arrow button problem: JSFiddle :) But obviously it's super fiddly to match all the different parts and sizes. I would suggest to just make a SVG image of the whole button and then embed the code of it (maybe as base64) into the CSS (possibly that's what you already meant, ...

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
I agree with Drury, there is a difference between preference and being playable at all. If you're not careful, "literally unplayable" takes on a new meaning for colorblind players... :) I mean, allowing mods the ability to improve on it is certainly a good thing, but they shouldn't be the ...

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
That is the only feature that needs to get implemented to fix the usability issues for all color-blind and contrast/brightness sensitive/requiring players instead of fixing the problem for the most mainstream or loudest minorities only. To be fair, 5% of humans have some colorblindness, 8% of men -...

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
The colorblind circuit network mod is a fantastic example. It changes red and green wires to blue and yellow. This is great on multiple levels: First, most colorblind people can distinguish between blue and yellow. Second, the ones who can't and maybe even see the world in literal shades of gray st...

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
How does more saturation help colorblind people? But more importantly, colorblind-friendly colors should just be an option in the settings. Trying to find something for both is mostly a compromise for both. A game can have clear and aesthetically pleasing visuals while simultaneously being perfectl...

Re: Friday Facts #351 - Beacon re-redesign & Simplified fluid mixing
I really like the new beacon design, looks cool but gives a lot of breathing room for the important buildings. Considering how low they are, will you be able to walk on them? :) I also think the in-building visualization of the modules is very cool! But you literally have a whole section on what is ...

Re: Factorio Paper Cuts
Display save date and time . Being able to sort by time or other things would of course be next level, but just adding one line to the GUI that displays the date and time of the save would already be huge. (I'm not posting this in the bug reports forum because Rseding91'll say "working as inte...

how steady and predictable they were, always outputting while at the ends for example. they don't, I checked :) Damn, you're right haha, the animation is slightly longer. Re: Friday Facts #350 - Electric mining drill redesign
I'm not a huge fan of the new mining drills. I really liked the old ones, thought they were quite clever and I also liked how steady and predictable they were, always outputting while at the ends for example. The new design is kinda erratic - disturbing the rhythm and peace of the factory. :) Althou...
