In rail world, the nests are started pretty far away from your base. So its rare to run into any biters before you need to expand up to the next level of resources. By that time you are usually pretty well equipped and ready. Remote mining areas are what get hit the most.

Re: Bots should help lay rails.
A good example of what I'm talking about would be how it works laying pipes by hand. Run into a tree? Hold shift and the bots take care of the problem.

Re: Is it possible to mod a train with lower top speed on curves
I notice that trains in V17 can now can show you the route they plan on taking. If I were to do some sort of code like this, a solution is to start at the end of the route and work backwards. At the end you start your speed limit at zero. Then, moving backwards bring the speed limit up, noting every...

I wish we could edit/add icons to the list. Last world I ran out of them an needed a text cheat sheet to keep track of what they all meant.

Bots should help lay rails.
TL;DR When putting down a blueprint I can hold shift and the bots will knock out the trees. I'd like them to do this when manually laying out train rails. What ? When laying out train rails by hand and there is a tree in the way, or possibly a forest. I'd like to hold shift and my personal construc...

Re: Improved Vehicle Control
As for the car, can we just have the turning radius increase as a function of the speed? That way, as it goes faster the steering gets less "touchy". Want to turn sharp? Just slow down.
I bet there's a mod for this, but I'm too new to understand Mods yet.

Show us what the train-stop is set to. Also, if that's correct, try placing a power pole in the box/trainstop circuit. Lets have a look at what's being sent on the network.

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?
I love this game. I love the fact that you don't have to build your production lines the same way every time. You can change your designs and improve them over time, make them more compact, make them higher output etc. There are hundreds of ways to make a production facility that produces the same ...

Re: Version 0.17.14
As you progress through the game everything will become apparent I've noticed that. But what it's really doing is putting a big, possibly unnecessary, learning block in front of potential new customers. Hit the "clear cursor" key, which defaults to "Q" (at least on QWERTY). As l...

Wow! I found the tool bar confusing. What is this Alt view thing? And the personal robot? I click them and don't notice any change. When I do a "copy" I get a blueprint, this is good and expected.. But then I can't get rid of it! It's like playing with ink, it gets all over. Pretty soon t...

Re: Version 0.17.14
Maybe, instead of a re-do of the train stuff... How about a "collapse" switch so that, once we set things up, all you see is a list of stations? I'd think that would be a nice touch. Then, of course, someday it would be nice to have a train "language" for coding the trains. Inste...

Ok, so how does one remove an item if they are on a Mac? "Existing links can be removed by clicking Middle mouse button on the slot." Mac's don't come with middle mouse buttons and I've not been able to find where I can change this. I can't find it listed in the control override menu. -jim...

Re: Please allow me to toggle a locomotive into "personal train" mode
I use a personal train. I'd hate to be without it. My simple solution? Custom train stops. Each station, say for example "Northern Ironworks" will have a extra siding with the same name + (Personal) "Northern Ironworks (Personal)" The custom train only has this list of "pers...
