Re: 0.15 Reactor Ratio
Every 40 MW is perfectly consumed by 4 heat exchangers. For a 100% bonus, it's 8 exchangers per reactor.

This part is wrong. 6 U238 -> 1 U235 + 3 U238.
However, you use the correct value in the rest of the calculations.

Re: Constant reactor fuel usage invites heat capacity cheating
My own suggestion is that reactors start cooling off as soon as they run out of fuel, regardless of their thermal load. Since it takes a significant amount of energy to heat a reactor above the 500 C threshold needed for steam generation, this would make balancing energy demand and production more i...

Re: [0.15.5] Reactor consumes fuel at full power while idle
Understood if this is an intended feature, however, this opens up ways to cheat the system. One could simply lay out a bunch of heat pipes and create a large thermal battery, and only cycle reactors to maintain the temperature of the large chunk of heat pipes above 500C. I was surprised to see that...

Re: [0.15]+ Per Save Local Achievements.
It would be a nice feature to have / add is some sort of check mark or it does not even need that but some sort of Per World Achievements. Once you earn them all or many of them sometimes you make new worlds and like the feeling and enjoyment of earning them again and again. This would be a nice fe...

Re: [Klonan] Advanced train tutorial can be completed by deleting blocks.
Thanks for the report, I have fixed the no path ones, But for the others i will need some deeper thinking about how to stop people cheesing them Why bother? If people are cheesing the tutorials, then they're not learning what the tutorial is trying to teach them. Alternatively, prevent people from ...

Please add this setting back in at a later date. Being able to control the maximum biter density would be much appreciated.FactorioBot wrote: [*]Removed the "minimum chunks between new bases" map generation setting because it wasn't doing anything.

Re: I want to mine the iron! Stop trying to mine the uranium!
Am I the only one who thinks that uranium miners should be a totally separate thing than normal miners? That (1) solves OP's problem, (2) eliminates this single case in all of factorio where placement of an object totally changes its graphics and operation, and (3) opens the door for having uranium...

The bars look like HD graphics joining with a non-HD tank. So that's not a bug in and of itself, just a set of graphics the developers haven't updated yet.

Re: Difference in Recipe/Technology Difficulty?
I am extremely surprised the Marathon mode doesn't alter the Enemy settings. With everything costing more, I would expect development to be slower--which would make defending against enemies that much harder, right? Try Death World instead. It has the expensive technology settings along with a high...

Re: Is that piece of junk toy rocket an atomic bomb ???!
The behemoth biters have 5k health, and 10/20% armor vs. explosive (effective 6,250 health vs. explosive damage). It would take 17 mini-explosions from an atomic bomb to kill one. Compare to only 2 mini-explosions for a big biter (the first reduces it to only 4% health). They are extremely tough by...

Re: [0.14.22] Stack inserters get stuck when loading rocket fuel
This is a side effect of how inserters work. If you want to prevent it - update to 0.15 and use the "override stack size" option on the inserter. Isn't the max stack size in an assembler supposed to be set so that this doesn't happen? Or does that not apply to furnace type entities and fu...

You can change the richness and frequency through the same option menu as other resources.AcThPaU wrote:[Moved from General]
Is there a way to change the richness/size/frequency of uranium ore ? Well that's a stupid question, there certainly is and dev used it to put in uranium the first place.

Boilers have three connection points. Two are for water, one is for outputting steam. The steam output is perpendicular to the water input/outputs.

I'm glad that artifacts and their associated grind are gone from the game. Destroying biter nests is boring and tedious even when you're only dealing with them when you're expanding.

I second this. It confused me the first time I was looking for heat pipes that they weren't included in logistics.
