Re: pY Fusion Energy - Discussion

Can you add a control unit to the recipe of the rocket control unit and a vanilla heat exchanger to the recipe of the fusion energy heat exchanger? 1 roket is expensive enough 2 fusion is so expensive so few use it to begin with Then maybe they could replace existing ingredients. an alternative rec...

Re: Early game attention

Py is explicitly not balanced for enemies at the moment, pollution numbers and cost of weapons need an extensive review, plus keeping up with weapons tech is difficult, especially with evolution going on. If you basically turn off time evolution and scale down both pollution and spawner evolution, ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

So now at least the molten lead recipe at green science is SLIGHTLY more ore efficient than basic hotair, but it does still require borax, graphite, and quite a bit more power. 4.5MW + 20 lead ore + 17 foundries = 10 lead plate per sec (basic hotair smelting) 7.1MW + 18.67 lead ore + 20 buildings =...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

dont use the silver solder recipes , and yes silver atm is a problem so use it as little as possible Yeah seriously. I saw that trap a mile away. I've also noted that soot can be turned into silver but the ratio is horrible (10 soot -> .3 silver), so that's really only helpful to use random byprodu...

Re: Plwase force standard vanilla buildings to use components from the PY mods

you have a good point here , well not sure if it was intended but the priority is the order you listed them in
centrifuges are sort fast enough atm but the other 2 are sorta slow

Re: pY Industry - Discussion

Question for all you Py players out there: What's your favorite tile? Currently my whole base is covered in measly stone bricks which provide only a 30% speed boost. I am close to automating circuits 2 so I have a healthy infrastructure currently and am wanting to automate and produce massive amoun...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

Just some general context, high grade silver (available at lead processing 3) turns 0.08 lead dust into 0.2 silver plate, about 16x higher yield. So this seems like something that might actually be worth rushing. That's good to know. But you need a healthy amount of silver to automate circ2 and sci...

Yeah could you explain exactly what has changed? Trying to decide if u want to update as well. Is it mostly the same but involves circuits 1? Or lots of changes?
sci 2 requires circ 1 now and science 3 requires nexelite now

Re: Nitrogen recipe is pointless

The only place I use Cold Clean Air is where it's unavoidable (Heavy P Doped Silicon). Currently it's not worth using it for either Nitrogen or Helium. I make about half of my Nitrogen from Bitumen in Ionic Upgrader. For the other half I use the Distillation Column/Filter route. For Helium I use th...

Re: Nitrogen recipe is pointless

I think it got over nerfered as a side effect of nerfing helium. :). The way to make helium relies on cold\refined air, but that's also shared with nitrogen process. Therefore nerfing helium via cold\refined air = nerfing this process. The problem is that this process is NOT space efficient once yo...

Makes sense.

A little bit annoying that it can't just be 1mj though for my ocd lol.
Is it still the case that fluid temperatures are effectively hardcoded to be limited to 1000°C ?

Re: pY Industry - Discussion

I don’t know where it’s much more appropriate to write it (not to create a new topic): I found a mod that supposedly straightens the values of pollution production by your buildings, Py, supposedly they were broken by some factorio update. And I’m thinking, why don’t you fix it yourself if it’s a b...

Re: pY HighTech Discussion

Hey Pyanodon, Really love your mod; I recently started my third run with it. I also like the balancing that's happened since 0.16, it makes the mod a whole lot more UPS-friendly :D I did notice that electronic components now require their predecessor, like resistor 2 requires resistor 1 in the reci...
