my bad. Should indeed be locked behind farming then.

Re: Bugs & FAQ
pretty sure "Farming" is the very first research in "Bioprocessing" mod so it should be before Aboretums. But i have not used it in months. But when i did, i had no problem with the chain, just some not so obvious things, which took some time to understand how its intended. And i...

Re: Ammonia in Rocket Fuel
Congratulations on breaking the game by going on such a massive scale. ...... Its not the scale of the whole base that bothers me, with Bob´s prod modules Mk8 its like 6 or 8 heat shield assembler, with 8 beacons spreading speed. Its not even close to break, the whole build will not be that big, wi...

Ammonia in Rocket Fuel
How you guys doing this? Im designing a 10k SPM base at the moment (mostly with Creative on a different save to test builds) and so far its going great Until.... i come to the bottom of the rocket fuel chain... again... Every time i hit this point, its pure frustration. Even with Bob´s Modules...

Another idea I had was the robots being ground based and going along a player set track. This wouldn't need the same pathfinding.

Delay or waiting list - saving map for joining MP
Playing on the Redmew server recently, i got very annoyed with the constant saving of the map for new guests at peak times, it was saving for newcomers multiple times a minute, sometimes with just a few seconds to play in between, only a few times where it said "saving map for player X AND play...

Re: Tech Mania is more expensive than you think
40h is not bad for lazy bastard It was my 3rd save i launched a rocket and i think it was about 100+h Even tho you gotta automate everything, i didn´t automate building through bots much (i didn´t get the BP mouse and keyboard shortcuts back then), so i often ran back and forth to the mall and my cu...

Re: Development and Discussion
Regarding the construction robots, am I right in the assumption that Bobs Robots make those completely obsolete? The construction ones are great if used in the crawler vehicle, not so much in the train imho. Anything you´d want to build from the train seems too slow and you dont lay tracks into som...

Re: [0.16.x] Simple Saplings
i was trying to make the placed saplings blueprintable, and therefore placeable by bots (before they´ve grown into trees) but im really not good at reading and using the lua wiki
I was guessing its in /prototypes/item.lua but i cant find a setting to add what i want.

Re: feedback: train signals are hard
This is why i prefer loops instead of 2headed trains, it eliminates the chance of forgetting a signal to make a track 2way. But thats just me, not knowing bidirectional trains can be a thing when i started. Yes, i layed down 2 tracks to every outpost from the start, iirc even in the camapign. But th...

Re: Smelting lead tier 3 worse than tier 2.
ok, then you are using the same as me. Thought you are "washing" mineral sludge, like in sea block. My bad  Yes, thats the one i was talking about, direct sorted Silicon The 2nd Cement is using less Silicon, by adding Iron, which is easier to sort. And Alumina, which can be made with...

Re: Smelting lead tier 3 worse than tier 2.
the 2nd Cement reciepe is not realy 3 mandatory ores per craft, as Alumina can be created via processed and/or pellets, but yeah, its definatly more than the first one. Ive never used washing for ores, most is done with direct sorting (sometimes to supplement indirect sorting), and I guess its up to...

Re: Friday Facts #275 - 0.17 Science changes
I like it alot!
Im fine with more stone usage, it felt like a step child at points.
Ore generation settings might screw up some older bases, but as this should be a huge step towards 1.0, its a perfect time to start a new one.

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] MadClown01's Extended AngelBob Minerals
i found use for Allumvium But shouldn´t the new washing/refining reciepes only use sulfuric stuff when Angel´s are set to that? The new ores produce all kind of waste water when washed, just like Angels when the petrochem/acid box is ticked in startup settings, but the refining of the new ones doesn...

Decided to come back to a full angels/bobs playthrough after about a year and was trying to apply all the mods and got the following error message related to Angels Refining. Re: [MOD 0.16.x] MadClown01's Extended AngelBob Minerals
thanks for the heads up, seems i found them all too bad there isnt much use for the high end stuff, especially Platinum. Which as far as i can see is for high end gas production only. Tho that seems to save alot of space. I never really liked the hundrets of air filters, when gas/fluid throughput ge...

Yes please! Extended Angels support would be fantastic! :D This, pwetty pwease! and... is it possible to edit one "little" thing? the U shaped pipes on top of Blast Furnaces and maybe Chem Furnaces are imho waaay to brightly colored for how the game overall looks, even compared to the oth...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] MadClown01's Extended AngelBob Minerals
excuse my ignorance, but i cant find a use for Platinum and/or Thorium in "base" AB I know Platinum exists in the ingame files (at least you can find it with FNEI) Does this mod alter some reciepes, with adding only this mod to a "usual" A+B game, or do i need your other mods too...

Re: Friday Facts #271 - Fluid optimisations & GUI Style inspector
the fact that noone is talking about you guys showing (and enabling) the GUI tooltip tool, which is clearly for development only, just shows that almost everyone here knows it already: you are the Developers or the decade and should receive a gaming Oscar for it. Ive stopped playing games i enjoyed,...
