Re: Early oil processing conundrum

I have yet to dable in the oil chain yet but you can bypass the need for stainless steel by getting crude oil from aromatics+syn gas or aromatics+tailings. Yeah it does require more research but that dosnt bother me cos you have plenty of time on your way to blue science

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

How are people coping with fluid wagons requiring Stainless Steel, part of the chain looks like this Raw fiber->Fiber->Rayon->Batteries->Laser turret->Molybdenum Mine->Molybdenum Plates->Aramids->Stainless Steel So a lot of infrastructure without the ability to transport liquids I dont really want t...

Re: Approach with pure PyMods?

So how do you do it? 1 train requester stop, but with multiple requesters at that stop, one for each input item? (perhaps a max of 4-6 per stop?) And then the trains all stop at the same place, so you've have to use filter inserters to direct items from cargo wagon on to the right belt? Or do you g...

Re: Approach with pure PyMods?

Hi I have just recently started also(over 200 hours and still on red/green science, working towards circuit 2). As i progressed i realised that the "Main Bus" method just wasnt going to work as far to many products/buildings. I got the very 1st circuits automated(2/second :D ) and my base ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

That looks to be working. Thank you. It's really odd that the "what's it really used for' mod only finds excavation as a way of gathering quartz ore. it is usually spot on. any ideas on why this is? I'm thinking that it has to do with the way the py ore recipes are setup in the background perh...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

I think it is because you can make Molten copper with copper 2 research but the only thing you can do with it is the Duralumin recipe. To make the copper plates from molten we need "copper 3" research EDIT: Oh nvm i just seen there was an update a few days ago and casting is now in copper ...

Re: pY Industry - Discussion

Hi does anyone know how the burner is supposed to function with mixed inputs. I thought it would just pick up practically anything in front of it. It works fine with only one item on the belt the problem is with more than one. Say there is 10 iron plates on the belt and then 10 copper plates, it wou...

Re: Huge memory load Pyanodons mods

@Cardoyle: I imagine that that is going to work. Unfortunately doesn't this mean that you don't have the nice HR graphics? That would be a shame, in my opinion. Yeah Unfortunately I do not get to experience the High Res graphics. I tried messing around with a few settiings(changing to OpenGl) but i...

Re: Huge memory load Pyanodons mods

What worked for me is Options->Graphics->Bottom left change sprite Resolution from High to normal.

This cut my load times from 5+minutes(game was also unplayable due to stuttering) to around 30 seconds(game runs smooth also)

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

Just started trying out Full Py and I'm getting some weird CPU usage spikes. Removing other mods leads me to believe it's one of Pyanodon's mods, probably Raw Ores, maybe HighTech. When loading factorio, the status bar gets stuck for about 5-10min at 40%-60% and Loading Sprites. This also slows my ...

Re: cant progress on sience pack3, plz help

Hi, You can find patches of Molybdenum and use a molybdenum mine to extract it. You can build this once you have researched rare earth technolgy which is green science. I think the Tech you were looking at is the one which uses drill heads which i presume allows you to mine anywhere but at a cost(ha...

I am playing Seablock and according to FNEI the clarifier does 400 liquid every 2.5 seconds and the flare stack does 100 gas every 0.5 seconds

Not sure what it is called in Bobs but in Angels Its called a "flare stack" for gasses and a clarifier for liquids

Re: Development and Discussion

So, to start this post, I'm playing on Seablock, so I acknowledge that I'm living life on hard mode. But... I've noticed that there is no way to grow additional desert, temperate, or swamp trees once you find one (unlike the gardens). It is beyond a pain to landfill my way out into the ocean, aroun...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.6

The solid fuel from fuel-oil sounds great! I honestly forgot I could do that, and held-off on fuel oil production until I got electric motors and oil-burning generators (which use up a tiny bit of the mineral oil in lubricant). As an aside, the oil-burning generators seem to accept and void any kin...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.6

I was using some spreadsheets to calculate my washing to geodes to ore system, and in the "Washing for geodes" recipe, the yields for blue and red it says the yield is 1.5. I was expecting this to mean guaranteed 1 geode + 50% odd of getting the second one, or even 3 geodes every 2 washes...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.5

I am running SeaBlock 0.2.5 on Factorio 0.16.32, and I cannot figure out how to make ferrous solution. There is only a barreling recipe for it according to FNEI. Has anyone else seen this? It does not appear related to the old ShinyGFX leaching plant issue, but instead the recipe itself seems to be...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.5

You also get 2 Belts now instead of one, previously with the tin recipe you only got one. So the cost works out to be 11 iron plates for 2 belts. 1 belt=5.5 iron. Not sure what the cost is in just Bob's mods.
