I kind of expected wait time zero to have the effect, that the train-stop acts like a waypoint, so that the doesn't come to a full halt at all, but drives right through it. It looks like on mine and OP's log file graphics settings are in fact set to medium. Also I'm not sure how we are supposed to change the graphics settings if the game fails to get past the loading screen. The game is missing some (non-critical) files from the game directory, however it can't update the game if there are files missing.

You need to download the newest version from the website and install that.

The first post says instructions are located in the README.txt file, which I assume should be included in the zipfile...but I don't see one in there at all. 0.1.7 had the readme included, no idea if it is still valid in newer versions. 0.15.34 (stable), 0.15.35 and 0.15.36 are all still available in the Steam betas tab, if you revert to one of these can you replicate the bug with the same settings? Your saves/mods will be fine, Factorio will just tell you that newer saves can't be loaded in older versions if you attempt to do that...

Actually, what is your use-case for this? People are (although it's rare) using the 0 second wait time to make sure that the train drives a certain route, for whatever reason. Mostly these stations don't have inserters anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference if it waits there for 0 or 1 ticks. That...

Using a wait time of 1 second and a standard (yellow) inserter it will only grab one hand full (for only 1 item use the stack size limit), and 0 vs. 1 second wait time is not that much of a difference. Besides, you mentioned that it is already accomplishable with circuit conditions.
