Is there any way to see if everything is connected without manually trying to follow along and across different sections of your factory?
Try to look at electric network via map.

Re: Train Filter Signs

https://i.ibb.co/tspMLL4/signs.jpg If signs would be placed like that, AC or BC or D or none rules should be added based on the train's route. All rules should be applied for entering segment, not leaving or passing. Even if the sign is far far away. If train somehow entered segment already (manual...

Re: Train Filter Signs

If those signs would be required to bind to a rail segment, those segments would have to be able to take multiple signs into account and this would create an issue where a sign that is far behind could still affect a path for a train that is heading away of that signal - just because that sign woul...

Re: Train Filter Signs

I still think having the current train ID in the block readable from rail signals would satisfy a lot of wishes, and give players the control that is being requested. It could work. But in my opinion train id is the worst way to control pathfinder. This seems like a more complicated solution to the...

Re: Train Filter Signs

It look complicated? It is simple and controllable! 1.At the moment, pathfinder works, train parameters are known. 2.Some paths become closed for this train (so pathfinder has less ways to measure) and it get own personal way to go. 3.Time to go that way. Almost as now. Compare with "chain sign...

I disagree with every single point here. Including your first point which doesn't make any sense. You disagree with my opinion? You can, no problem. But remember, not all likes flying enemy. You're going to call flyer AI complicated, and then suggest this? Also, worms' role is static defenses, if t...

Re: Flying spitters

I think flying enemies would add diversity to the game, pose an interesting but manageable extra challenge for the player, and incentivize killing off islands of "biter zoos" to prevent flyer attacks. It's something I'd really love to see. But what do you guys think? Should this be a thin...

Re: Increase Beacon Reach by 1 Tile

I would sooner take an extra tile of range over belt weaving. I see the appeal, but as a consistency freak I could never get over the idea that there are different tiers of belt in the same place. *shudder* Belt weaving feels weird. Yes. In order to get more interesting beacon setup we definitely n...

Then you would want to decrease solar efficiency under these clouds. That would be a problem.

Re: Train station priority to complement train station limits.

Why use "hacky" "dummy" solution when you can allow signal to add needed penalty to the path directly? This is a separate idea in itself. What i am not sure about is if signal extra penalty value would be provided by the circuit network: when the value would be changed, some rep...

Re: Conditional stations in train schedule

Firstly, to be able to use "arrival conditions" for train fueling, you would also need to be able to set a condition based on fuel. I think that is not as simple as it may first appear due to multiple locomotives (which may be facing different directions) and fuel types. Like "Fuel i...

Hm.
If Tips and Tricks would become so powerful and interactive as mentioned in FFF would it be possible to edit BP in that interactivity?

Re: Make chain signals the norm, and rail signals for experts

OT How about railway pathfinder v2.0 that would be deadlock-resistant? Please don't say it would cost many CPU and RAM, because it would work only on small factories (say, until chain signal technology researched ) Already implemented, direct player control of trains is very deadlock-resis...

Try setting up a system with all chain signals! It's not good.
I wander how chain signals work without rail signals at all?
It seems they also look at the stations.
Does anyone know?
