Re: Entities consuming/producing fluid never go to sleep

So in conclusion, fluid consuming entities behave as to be expected. Any UPS issues, if not mod related, or theorized, it‘s not clear from OP should be fluid related. Let me state again the problem. I have no way to put to sleep entities that has no *item" output but have fluid output only. Th...

Re: Entities consuming/producing fluid never go to sleep

Like setting circuit conditions controling power switches to turn the power off and on, when your buffering fluid tanks are full or empty enough? Provided of course your fluid handeling areas aren't too interconnected with the rest of the grid... Exactly. Imagine independent rail-based factory bloc...

Re: Entities consuming/producing fluid never go to sleep

Any plan to fix it? Currently no plans for optimizing it. Is there any other existing or planned for implementation way to put them to sleep ? Like powering off, disabling with circuits, etc. I might be naive, but would it possible to put entities that we inactive for 10-15 seconds to semi-sleep an...

Entities consuming/producing fluid never go to sleep

I noticed that entities consuming/producing fluid never go to sleep. At megabase scale they stay awake (and consume UPS) even in no ingredients/fully backed up. While entities using solid ingredients happily go to sleep under same conditions.

In this correct? Any plan to fix it?

Re: Development and Discussion

I propose to add higher tiers of Electric Boiler. Steam is in high demand in petrochem, all buldings has tiers and accept speed modules, but boilers remain the same. Adding module slots to boiler also would be nice.

Re: Development and Discussion

There is large debate on bots vs belts value UPS-wize for megabases, especially after round of belt performance improvements. I assume that that duscussion is about vanilla bots and belts. The general consensus is that bots better, but difference in not dramatic. How all these changes for B&A pl...

Re: Development and Discussion

Will Bobs circuits be supported when playing with Angel component and tech? It is a pity to loose ability to have Bob electronics if Angel circuit will be that easy.

Re: Development and Discussion

Proposed circuits recipes look very simple compared to Bobs... Removing fluid makes them even simple. Ferrous solution uses small amount of iron ore, so it is mostly about complexity, not amount of iron ore. Don't forget that Bobs circuits production times increases each level, which gives good ince...

Re: Development and Discussion

You can already get Zinc from Jivolite and Bobmonium chunks, not to mention that you can catalyst-sort for Zinc with chunks so it is really wide open once you have floatation. And don't forget that you need way less zinc than aluminium because zinc is used as alloy (Brass), so when you use just dir...

Re: Development and Discussion

I have always considered the silver from crotinnium chunks as a bootstrap to chemical science, and I beeline straight to the catalyst sorting recipes from there. Angels has a bunch of stuff where you get it messily at first and then more efficiently with tech so it never bothered me. Not sure what ...

Re: Development and Discussion

One concern over silver. It is used for green catalist, which used for methanol production - a good way to get plastic while not having blue tech science. But the only way to get silver is through crotinium chunks sorting and you get minuscule amount of silver - one out 9 on expensive recipes. So I ...

Re: Development and Discussion

Ok, so cupric sorting is most likely for the circuits, probably all the bulk ingredients, so that would be copper and tin (wire), then adding silicon (wafer) in the powder sorting, adding gold (wire) in the dust sorting and finally the only option (except from mixed sorting) the platinum (wire). Th...

Re: Development and Discussion

I do agree that the nickel is a bit too much early game (crushed rubyte -> lead + nickel). I do want to replace rubyte sorting to not give nickel, but something else instead. My initial thought was to give manganese there, to compensate for the steel, since that iron+manganese smelting is unlocked ...

Re: Development and Discussion

Santa - I think you mentioned this a bit back, but could you reiterate your rationale for replacing Tin with Silicon in Tier 1 Cupric sorting? I've been making a lot of use of the original Tier 1 Cupric, as there is so much call for Tinned wire, which the original setup worked well for. Personally ...

Re: Development and Discussion

Circuits are used in a zillion things (including, but not limited to science)... Advanced circuits - 117 recipes, Electronic Logic Boards - 113 recipes, Electronic Processing boards - 84 recipes. They are so widely used, and in such a huge demand, than Cupric should be balanced to make them directl...

Re: Development and Discussion

Cupric chain ores should be more aligned with ores used in science pack production. I would argue that usage of ore for buildings does not matter - science packs use order of magnitude more ore, especially on marathon/high tech multiplier. Agree with the ores having a purpose, but I would balance C...

Re: Development and Discussion

Here are my thoughts on balancing B&A play (no industry or tech overhaul), expensive mode Ferrous/Cupric chain Overall idea is that these chains should provide good incentive to build vs other recipes. They are substantially harder to produce, especially on higher levels of processing. Current b...
