Pyanodon is making a new mod called Alien Life that will have two different versions, one tailored to be played with biters and one without. So it sounds like that is up your ally.

I have all of green science researched and can build the other logistics chests but just not the storage chest. The research screen shows where it should be unlocked and that tech is researched. I have all Py mods installed and updated and "Engine" researched but I can't make the logistics storage chests. I can make the other 5 items that that tech unlocks. I've tried running the command /c game.local_player.force.reset_technologies() but it didn't change anything. FNEI shows it as unlocked...

Compatibility problems with what mods? I only have ones like alien biome and LTN that shouldn't effect resource spawning.

The latest crash is fixed but now resources rarely spawn and when they do they are always a perfect square. On new game creation no resources spawn because there are no resources listed on the resource tab.
