Thanks for the report however we can't reproduce this. I just tested it on the latest 0.17 experimental and it launches and joins without issue. Can you reproduce it in the latest 0.17? With mods enabled, connecting to a vanilla server : Doesn't ask to sync mods. 25.618 Factorio initialised 25.619 ...

As Title With Verbose logging off, items with a Verbose heading still appear in the factorio-current.log Attached is a minimal log (pre loading a save); if I was to load the save, my BP library also gets printed to the log, in a single line. I'd suspect this is "not-a-bug".

Any time the train schedule is modified, it 'resets'. This includes, but is not limited to:
Adding or removing a station
Setting the train from manual to automatic
A loco or wagon is destroyed
A loco or wagon is added to the train
