Re: Problem when not all wagons should be loaded
they are not mixed, since im only using one wagon with one type of cargo it looks like this: Loco-EmptyCargo-FullCargo or Loco-FullCargo-EmptyCargo where the full cargo is only of one type. Its working, just sets the numbers completly off. There is also 2 different types of encoding for trains #1L-#...

Problem when not all wagons should be loaded
Hello Im using LTN for the first time, and so far its working perfectly, since i watched whatever tutorial i could find. There is just one thing i cant work out myself. Im using LCC trains, for both cargo and fluids. I have set up encoded positions of locos and wagons (1# loco, 6# wagons), since i t...

Re: So... Let's talk about bots, and how to fix them properly...
The idea here is to change something that is perceived as a cheat to a feature since bots in its current form are more like a cheat than a feature, at least for me. i think the term was "boring" you dont need to think about much when setting up a bot array Im all for improving (and compli...

Re: So... Let's talk about bots, and how to fix them properly...
I think the whole discussion is missing something Even with changing bots to be more interesting, or more challenging to set up, it will not improve belts. Whatever you do to bots, people will figure out a way to make it working again like it does now, and all you need to do is copy that "perfe...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
To anyone who thinks that bots are boring or even OP, i think i can prove you wrong. Lets first define overpoweredness itself. My approach to that is the following and i will give you two examples. Lets start with a whole different topic, that will actually bring me back to bots at some point: 1.) N...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
I think the most compelling argument for leaving logistics bots as they are, is this: "you don't have to use them in your play through" Which is true. However, gamers have also demonstrated a common inability to resist the use of a dominant strategy even when it is not required. And even ...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
I once tried to setup a smelter array with bots. It turned out to be less effective as if i just had build it with belts, no matter how many bots and ports i threw it it. As ive seen in others peoples bases, bots, for a high end efficient base, actally take alot of thought too. I use them for person...

Re: [16.12] Train Signal can´t read+enable w/out train on track
The rail signal reads the state specified by the train so the open signal is "sent" from the "train" that isn´t there (yet), since there is a signal. Okey the state specified by circuit network can be easily transferred to the lamp as well. Well, yeah, i thought about that mysel...

[16.12] Train Signal can´t read+enable w/out train on track
I just found something weird, tried searching but didn´t realy find anything related I sometimes use network signals to "close" stations with a signal, rather than closing the station itself Now i dont like the visibility of signals from further away, so i thought i put some lights next to...

Re: Personal train
Using player detection to automate the system realy is the only thing that makes sense to me.
If you need to open a GUI, you could simply click on the station (instead of the combinator), which opens a GUI that lets you see all trains that have that station on schedule and call it manually

Re: Friday Facts #221 - 0.16 is out
Well, the underground thing i can understand. If it hasn´t been for some youtubers, i wouldnt even have thought about it. Ok, exploit gone, its fine, i never liked it anyway. Even the inserters not being able i can live with. As someone already explained, it not exactly an inserter job to place some...
