Re: Price change
It should be noted that the DLC discussion is pointless or, at best, theoretical: It would be illegal to withhold them from anyone who has bought the game already. [citation needed] AFAIK they can release content as DLC, make Factorio 2 and declare that it is not update - second would be quite obno...

Re: How to start modding Factorio?
Lua is compiled by Factorio, what is invisible to user/modder (see any existing mods that you downloaded). to be more exact Lua programs are not interpreted directly from the textual Lua file, but are compiled into bytecode, which is then run on the Lua virtual machine. The compilation process is ty...

The point is: If you see software as a lifelong free soup after you entered the restaurant once and payed for the initial soup only, then someone else has to pay for the rest or the restaurant closes down. Are you aware that continuing to use client-only program on my computers is not costing its p...

Re: HP Buff for Buildings On Pavement
It would be boring and cumbersome to add floor under every building. Not everybody is paving entire map and it should not be required.

Re: [0.16.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Hey Bob, The Logistics 0.16.18 broke Seablock but I'm not sure how to fix it. The issue is with the current configuration it doesn't define basic-transport-belt unless the belt overhaul option is enabled. Unless there is a way to configure that option within the Lua scripting? Anyway after enabling...

Re: Price change
subscriptions are a hideous milking cow that will scare gamers away , rather then bond them to the game. Since the devs don't care a bout the .99 marketing scam and there's also a non-steam version, this will never happen. They're old-school and honest towards their public, which is a big part of t...

Re: Price change
Also, some people mentioned that round price without trickery was one of things that prompted them to look at the game. (which I don't even think works… or does anyone here have a reference to an actual study?) Hmm. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_pricing has no citation in either direct...

@domi2612 Given that upgrade planner is crashing it seems that upgrade planner is missing support for bob belts. Have you tried reporting it in the upgrade planned thread?

I only updated bob's mods and got this error. same, happened here on my side as well bob1.JPG What is happening without LoaderRedux? If everything works fine without it then you need to report it to the LoaderRedux author (not bobingabout according to https://mods.factorio.com/mods/Optera/LoaderRed...

Maybe I am missing something - but is there an upgraded lamp somewhere among bobmods? Usually I am ignoring upgraded buildings but in this case I would be happy to build some floodlights with light range greater than a tiny lamp. not at the moment. Thanks for the reply! Now I know that I found all ...

Re: [16.36] When walking everything seems Jumpy and not smooth - Running Linux Mint
When I walk around everything just seems jumpy. I have gigabytes of RAM free, only using 75% of GPU memory, GPU usage is at 15%, 4 CPU's are under 75%. I am running Linux Mint 17.3 (Ubuntu). The game played fine last version. Nothing is crashing or giving errors but its hurting my eyes. https://www...

Re: Re-enabling achievments guide [16.25]
Why you care about whatever people get or do not get achievements in a single player game? It is basically flipping bits. I can easily set directly all achievements as done - what would be changed?Gergely wrote: Do not try to justify something that is seen as cheating by the game's rules.

also in-game if I use the item/recipe browser from "What is it really used for?" mod. In my experience FNEI is better at handling disabled recipes. I remember getting confused by "What is it really used for?" displaying inactive plastic recipe in a SeaBlock, FNEI was not showing...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.5
Fun fact: boiler I is better than boiler II for steam cracking in refinery (it produces more steam due to lower temperature, despite higher efficiency). the electrolysers are 50% faster and need only 16% more power, more efficient! Yes, but I am at stage of game when power is no concern - and from w...
