Unfortunately viewed technology windows goes to same list of already opened Remove View windows.
For unknow to me reason, but they both there, in same list.
As s result using Back and Forward (Alt-Left/Right hotkeys), that are switching between already opened windows shows mostly parts of technology ...

This annoying tech can be unresearched, if one not planning to use it immediately, until we see some update to an interface.

/c game.player.force.technologies['quality-module'].researched=false

Just mind that using console commands forbid achievements for current game.

After getting to space, I got some understanding, that in case of building in space, closer view is needed, but I still do not understand why remove view and map was merged in one things. Map (as it exist before in v1.1) is really needed to build on Nauvis (not sure about other planets), while ...

When you press open map (M or TAB by default) remove view with maximum zoom-in is open. Resulting screen looks like a mess, until you scroll out to typical map zoom level. So one have to mouse scroll out every time, that is ...

Yes, I got it. Not as easy as with Nixie Tubes, but doable. Main disadvantage that Display panel is rather small, and numbers inside are icons, that also have some spacing and background, as a result digits are really small.

Looks to me - it's just bad luck. I rolled random seed many times (like 30+), looking on Fulgora map. Only 3 seeds, including yours has fully blocked small island in the center. In other cases there are some cliffs, but with smaller or lager spaces. Sometimes there is just tiny gap in circle.

I usually just turn off the night, that gives side effect of always working solar panels. But if there would be an option of same good visibility at night using some gadget, it would be very nice!

Even Elon Musk said, that some years later, it will be cheaper and faster to do good transfer across Earth, using low orbit freight.
So several landing pads on a planet in Factorio, is totally okay, from my point of view.

Some time ago it was possible to avoid barrel in/out research completely, because it was separate research topic. So it was possible to get rid of extra menu recipes, that I never planned to use.

Currently it's most wanted feature - to make map working as in 1.xx, without forcing player to scroll zoom out after opening map every time!

Yeah, give us some means to use map key to open normal useful map, please.
Zooming out every time is very boring any annoying.

I still think, calling this a proposal is wrong. It's more a must have fix . Because current map functionality looks more like a bug.

Need 1.xx map functionality!

Pressing a key opens map centered on player, with saved from previous use resolution. Pressing ESC or same key - closes the map.

New remote view list, that include tech windows is total garbage, not usable at all.

NEED an option to have WORKING MAP as in 1.xx!!!

Just normal map, open/close by same key. Without any futuristic functionality, that prevent normal usage, please!!!
