Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
The capacitor is equippable. As are all the solar panel 1s you started with. A lot of the equipment in Nullius is multi-purpose, so stuff in your armor can be taken out and placed independently as structures, and vice versa.

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
What temperature does it peak at during the day? It does gain a little more heat if it's below a certain temperature threshold. It's not all or nothing at the max temp like a nuclear reactor. It shouldn't be a huge difference. One more reason why erring on the side of having a little extra heat exch...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
I've only experimented with moderate builds of solar collector 1s. In my builds I had 2 shorter rows of solar collector hooked up to each heat exchanger rather than 1 long row per exchanger. At one point I had a build with longer rows but heat exchangers on both sides. I did not strive to maximize t...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
It's a labored breathing sound, gasping for your last breath. Since the player is supposed to be a robot and not a person you might check out the "I, Robot" mod. Works out of the box except it breaks the no-healing. Doesn't change the labored breathing sound when injured as I had hoped. S...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
I very specifically said that there is an interface to prevent Nullius from disabling techs and recipes, and that not disabling them was only the first step. I didn't say that there was an interface to automatically fully port techs and recipes without any effort. There are a lot of subtle details t...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
There is a thread about it on the mod portal discussion tab: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/nullius/d ... 7568f624a5
Un-hiding stuff is only the first and simplest step to making it compatible.

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
I have one problem though: What do I do with all the Chlorine? I need more caustic acid but the electrolyser that split water for it can't get rid of their chlorine. For one thing, make sure to use desalination and brine electrolysis, so you only split brine when you actually need the caustic solut...

Re: Atomic bomb effects to make biter eradication more interesting
It's hard to imagine that dropping a bomb on an ocean would create a wave more destructive to a nearby city than the blast of dropping the bomb on the city directly. When you look at simulated nuclear exchanges, none of them assume bombs being dropped offshore to create destructive waves. Perhaps un...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
Might I suggest replacing the breathing sound when injured with some screeching and clicking of a broken machine? I'll look into it. I don't play Factorio with the sound on, so I don't even know what the injured sound is. What happened to the yellow miniloader? I see the grey chute and the red (fas...

Re: In-game changelog viewer order
The responses here are a bit confusing, since they all seem to be discussing a different issue than what the original post is asking for. I thought perhaps the post was since edited to be more clear, but it was quoted by a later post and looks the same. When you browse your mods in game, there is an...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
The rail part of a railroad is the steel beams in the recipe, but the railroad ties/sleepers can be made of a variety of materials. Traditionally they were made of wood, something that Nullius doesn't have, but even on Earth they are not always made of wood. These days some railroad ties are made of...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
It means it can’t be directly voided but is 1 processing step to turn it into something that can be voided. In this case you need to burn them first, like a diy flare stack. The tech for burning them is later in mechanical engineering. Save some room for that, but in the meantime put them in tanks a...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
The electricity system only has 3 priority levels to work with. Surge stuff and accumulators are the same priority, the lowest. A new turbine will charge both. The old one charges neither. There is currently a priority turbine, but it's higher tech, and its the same priority as wind and solar, so it...

Re: Mod Interface: Changelog should default to installed version + 1
This would be nice. It's weird to have to scroll down past a bunch of changes you've already installed. An alternative would be to just sort the changelogs in reverse chronological order, so you can read back as far as you're interested, or leave them in the order that they are in changelog.txt inst...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
The other issue, which I'm still addressing, is that the turbine is designed as a backup power generator, for use with the hydrogen battery. You want a higher priority turbine for a primary power generator. I intend to deal with that in the next update.

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
I've looked into the combustion chamber but producing the hydrogen and oxygen for it consumes more energy than you get out of it. So that looks like a dead end. Only good to recover energy from waste hydrogen and oxygen instead of venting it. Look at the name of the technology that unlocks combusti...

Re: Do not pause game when looking at research in single player
Most play in multiplayer mode. For other reasons, or solely to avoid the pause from research? Either way, sounds like it would be positive to have the option for speedrunners too. I know that real speedrunners use external clocks, but I was thinking more of the timed achievements. The achievements ...

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
Miniloaders are not modified by Nullius, except for the recipe and position on the tech tree. So their behavior removing stuff from lanes is a question for the Miniloader mod. But the low tech grey one is much slower than the regular miniloader 1. The upside is that the grey one is cheap and require...
