Fluids as fuel?
I must've missed that part. Awesome I'm now looking forward to this feature even more.

Re: Local power connector module for modular armor
You kinda made a loop there I think, and neither have a solution. It's not a solution, it's the suggestion to combine these two suggestions. I thought it is clear, cause it makes sense, to have an interface which enables either vehicles or the character or its modular armor to a power grid. And I s...

Re: Strategic and Useful Floors
This is actually not a bad idea.
it meshes well with the electricity-transferring floor previous suggested in another thread, and would add some nice variety to the gameworld.
...with some tweaks, of course. Grass shouldn't absorb that much pollution at all.

Re: Defense against spitters
Land mines work for this. They do cost quite a bit to maintain, though, if you have large fields of them. I'm doing this in my latest map. I use only gun turrets and mines to defend my walls, and I only rarely got red alerts up until Behemoth evolution... they kinda don't care that much about your d...

Re: Sometimes I hate procedural generation
How many I-started-on-a-small-island threads does this make? We've gotta be above the 30:s or so by now, right? And 29 of them have a comment from you complaining about their frequency? Actually, no. I chose you! ;) Seriously, though. Don't take it personally. Others have done it before me, and oth...

Re: Additional visual activity on chemical plant
Edit my initial post, typo. What i mean was visual clue similar to refineries (the flame). So, even when overlay info is enabled, we can see the chemical plan is working or not. Assembler etc didn't need additional visual clue, we can tell they working because inserters is working. I like this. I'm...

Re: Poll: Faster crafting speed?
This poll reflects only the majority of the community. I think that there is a false assumption. There are many more casual players (who still enjoy the game and love it just as much) who don't come here to the forum to discuss it, and their polling choices might not line up the same way as a playe...

In a way, I agree. This should be a possibility, though I can imagine it'd be quite a bit of work to implement.

Re: About early game motivation
I can't really relate to this at all. I tried the campaign once as an afterthought, but the Freeplay is where I spend 99.99% of my Factorio time. My early game motivation was having seen the trailer for the game, witnessed what was possible to do, and then went ahead and spent money on it. From this...

Re: Late Game Research
The problem I see with random research options in a game like Factorio is that the game isn't built around re-playability as a core feature. NOW don't get me wrong I'm not saying you can't replay nor that replaying holds no value; but rather that the game allows itself to expand toward larger and l...

Re: Late Game Research
I like the idea lancar but you should be able to research out of it like if buildings use 20% more power you need to do 4 researches of 5% power reduction before it gives a bonus Well, regardless of the levels I think it's important to keep it random . Otherwise you lose the excitement factor that ...

Re: Late Game Research
I'm thinking that when you've researched everything else, a unique research tree pops up which isn't predictable of what it does. Instead, when researched, you get a random bonus to something. Like, suddenly your rockets are 30% harder hitting, or your solar panels produce 30% more power, or inserte...

Re: kovarex Considering a January Release on Steam.
Nobody wants to compete with Fallout 4 in November, so several pushed their games to February... which makes that a bad time to release as well. January might actually be the best choice if it has to be "soon". And noone wants to compete with XCom 2 aswell, in February. Doesn't matter whe...

Re: Suggestions to increase threat potential of late game biters
I think a queen making the hives near it produce & send biters at a near continuous pace would be interesting. Suddenly one of your walls will be under constant attack, with no letting up, drawing ammo (or power) like crazy, making it a threat you HAVE to deal with fairly soon or your supply sys...

Re: Incorporate story in load screen
On the loading screen I would like to see how my last base has been evolving through the time. Something like timelapse.
