I think I have discovered the steps to reproduce for mods.

1. Make a new mod folder with incorrect data.lua that will produce error message during mod loading
2. Fix that data.lua and press "reload" - all mods key bindings are gone.

Devs, can you please add to the docs that entities should not be stored in global.sometable as table keys? I've just encountered this issue myself.

Lua - player inventory insert bug

The function game.player.get_inventory(defines.inventory.player_main).insert doesn't insert any item (with name and count specified) to empty inventory but game.player.insert works. It may be related to that my quickbar is full.

Now I'm not sure what causes it. I've just updated to 32 and when I opened settings - controls - mods I saw default keybindings instead of mine. I checked my backup and It turned out that the config file was already reseted when it showed me the "auto update" popup. 0.000 2017-08-02 23:21:...

It's because another mod (AAI?) doesn't allow me to construct anything near enemy bases so I can't lay rails until I kill all their buildings nearby. Though I think it's a good restriction and I don't want to remove it from the mod. For now I just changed the max_per_region in prototype files to 1-2.

I'm using the auto-update feature. I don't extract Factorio manually.

I suggest to reduce enemy bases per region (max_per_region) and make the spawn chance bigger instead. This way they will not spawn too close to each other and it will be possible to lay down a rail between them without combat. Also the default region size is too small. When I just restart the game the key bindings are ok. The issue happens with each update (29->30,30->31) and when I delete a mod. I'll post the log when I see it again.

[0.15.31] Factorio keeps reseting my key bindings

When I update Factorio to new version or when I delete some mod my controls are reseted. It's very customized scheme and I can't just setup it again. This is a VERY BIG DEAL to remember and setup each shortcut again. Please, fix it.
