Re: Factorio Roadmap for 0.15 + 0.16

Having a train or wagon with only an equipment grid is actually a really cool idea, especially if there is a good variety of equipment you can use. I can imagine people would have fun creating complicated defense networks if you have lasers, shields, exoskeletons (which would have to be called somet...

Re: Are there any flaws with this station design?

Yeah, I'm thinking that when my next base gets up to trains I'll load and unload 4 at a time (trains of 8 or 12) or simply try out a new system, whether it be double- headers or smaller trains.

I also thought I heard that artillery train was confirmed for 0.16. Has that changed recently? If not, why isn't it on the list?

Re: Are there any flaws with this station design?

I just looked at it again, and that does work. I thought I tried it in the past and it worked worse, but now I have a feeling I moved the station the wrong way. That sounds like something I would do  . I also noticed that it's not off by 1 tile and 3 tiles, it's off by 1 tile and 4 tiles. When ...

Are there any flaws with this station design?

I have a moderately extensive train network and I am using a system I haven't seen elsewhere. Is there some major flaw that I didn't notice, is it personal preference, or did I finally come up with an original idea? I like this design because it uses relatively few resources to set up, but can carry...

Thanks for checking it out. I'm to the point where I don't really play the scenarios anymore, but I just thought that if someone new was recommended on the forum or Reddit to use the experimental it could be a bit confusing.

Re: Share Map with My Contents

Assuming you are using windows, your saves are stored in C:\Users\[generic_username,_insert_yours_here]\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\saves You can email it to your friend (or you can send it through Steam if Steam allows sending files) and you friend (again, assuming they are using windows) can put it i...

Re: Platinum and gold

Wouldn't mind one additional late-game metal at some point. I'm not sure if uranium is a metal, but it is a new late- game resource which is much less common than other resources. We have iron, copper, stone, coal, and uranium, not just iron and copper like some you make it sound like. I get that h...

[Rseding91] [for 0.16] force.reset_recipes() changes recipe.enabled

Hello, I noticed something several months back while I was playing the demo (level 3). Updating (from 12.35 to 13.19 and from 13.19 to 14.21) unlocked the repair pack and stone brick. I was fairly certain this was unintended, as there was no legitimate way to get these items. Recently, after creatin...

Re: [0.15.21] Mining drill outputs ore too frequently

Sorry, apparently 120+ hours into the game I still don't know how mining drills are supposed to work. I've looked back at older footage from the game and this seems to be how they work, but it doesn't make sense to me. I thought (and it also makes somewhat more sense, personally) that mining drills ...

Cool, thanks for the speedy reply.
I think I might keep it so I can have the novelty of having a tree in my rail  .

[0.15.21] Tree clips rail

I have a tree clipping my rail in this map. This map was started several months ago (probably 0.14?). I have rebuilt this rail and seen trains drive over it, and the tree is still not detected. I am running the latest experimental in steam (0.15.21) on 64-bit Windows 7. System information: Intel Cor...
