Ah, yup, we draw text by two different methods internally, depending on the size, and we forgot to add rotation support to one of the types.

I can't see anything wrong with the code there, and I don't know which version you were running. Without some more information or a save file, I can't reproduce this bug.
Moving to can't reporduce section, will move it back out if I get a reply with some more info.

Can you post your save file please?
Also, when you say you rebooted the campaign, does that mean you quit factorio and releoaded your save, or that you restarted the camppaign from the beginning?

Are you sure you're running the latest version of the game?
I just checked, and it's working just fine for me (on linux), and grep for the bad string returns no results.

This should only happen very rarely, when you box compilatron in so he can't get out any other way, but it's not a bug, he just needs to get where he's going.

So, we were actually able to figure this one out in the end, the game thought it was still in a cutscene, so the whole state ended up a bit messed up. If you load your save in the next version, there should be less attacks, especially after you finish the final quest, and you should be actually able...

This is intentional, the fact that they changed in earlier version of 0.17 was due to technical restrictions meaning we had only one style available.
The black outlined style is exclusively for compilatron, so it is no longer used in freeplay.

So, I looked into it and as far as I can tell, linux will not swap out process memory fro disk cache. There is a kernel parameter called swappiness that determines whether a failed allocation will steal space by swapping out processes memory or io cache, but that seems to be the only relation I can ...

Sorry, but it is very unlikely we will implement this. It is quite a niche problem, and really the solution is to get more ram so you never swap out. It seems the syscall you listed might work, but there are potential complications regarding process privileges and limits on memory locking by unprivi...
