I'd probably make it opt-in.

without mods it was completely loaded. Disable problematic mods. Or all. Vanilla - forever !! does not load the previous save, even without mods. An error is displayed According to OP even without mods it doesn't work. @OP Are you sure you have enough free RAM? It's a huge map using 10GB, and it so...

I missed the detail about the 50 radars before. Note that is a lot of information that now needs to be passed back and fort There is no information that needs to be passed back and forth. Each computer calculates the scan for themselves, fully deterministic. especially if these radars are scanning ...

I don't think you can burn any of those. Try petroleum gas.

AFAIK this would require solving the complex graph problem of connecting any consumer to any producer. Every tick, since load changes.
Does anyone have / already proposed an idea to keep the computational complexity low?

Re: Source code access?
It's very unlikely that they would give out access, and it has nothing to do with intellectual property (or at least shouldn't), but rather they probably don't want to reveal what is likely a lot of messy spaghetti and snarled code. really its about this. only recently have they even started unit t...

Re: Source code access?
There is just no way they would hand over their source code. This is a closed source, for-profit product and doing so would be willingly casting all their work into the wind. You do know that some modders already have access? It's not like you can do anything with the source code, that's what the N...

Re: Source code access?
good luck, even Bobingabout doesn't have source access anymore. they're pretty strict about it nowadays. either that or it's a Boys' Club, one which I am not in, despite being able to contribute. Mhh I see, so chances are bad.. Maybe related to the upcoming expansion, so they want to maximize secre...

Source code access?
Hello there, Factorio is one of my all time favorite games, and the best optimized I've encountered. I love your hands-on approach with the FFF, and would like to dive deeper into the secrets of optimization. Would probably make for a great opportunity to learn... Is there a way for 3rd parties (lik...

So, a "Won't Implement" then?
FWIW, you can reuse the water effect for other tiles, but it's the same animation that plays out.

I don't see why it would be belts though. A separate entity seems better suited.

Well, there is the minmal requirements , for the full client though. There's also a forum thread about headless requirements . In short, I'd say 2-4GB are good. Also depends on what else runs on your server though. :) Like with everything factorio, it depends on how big your world/base is. Since you...

I don't see a crash here. I noticed you don't have a lot of RAM though, could you simply be running out of RAM and getting your process killed by the OOM killer?0.137 System info: [CPU: Intel Xeon Processor (Skylake, IBRS), 2 cores, RAM: 980 MB]
