Re: Is "Lazy Bastard" appropriate?

The word "Bastard" doesn't offend me personally, but I could certainly see others taking some offense and not buy the game. I find the thought of some one rejecting this game for the sole reason of the word "bastard" in one achivment, while having no problems with the constat mu...

Re: Saying Hello and a feedback question

It would not break anything, if we could assign a lane of our choosing, It would streamline base design and eliminate some weird belt stunts in order to get our items onto the lane we want. make them pick the further lane by default but give us the option to choose otherwise if needed. I mean serio...

Re: Friday Facts #205 - Teaching the things that everybody knows

This means thats when you are looking at where trains can collide, chain signals are always on the right side of the train as its traveling. and they are always before the intersection. This is a good point that should be taught in the tutorials. Chain signals go before intersections and inside com...

Re: Friday Facts #205 - Teaching the things that everybody knows

I have a couple of thousand hours. Fluids - I've never needed to think about those. Alright, it's annoying they can't touch, but that's not a big deal (just use undergrounds for long parallel runs). Note on fluids. It's far from obvious that it's better with underground pipes than above ground pipe...

Re: Trains should omit the next station if "wait until"...

Maybe I see what you're talking about... If I have a train shipping stone and coal, it will have 4 stops: 1. Load coal (Until full or 45 seconds) (Disable if there's less than 2000 coal ready) 2. Unload coal (Until empty) 3. Load Stone (Until full or 45 seconds) (Disable if there's less than 2000 st...

Re: Friday Facts #205 - Teaching the things that everybody knows

Talking about "non-obvious" things, when do we get an explanation of removing circuit wires and/or copy-pasting circuit settings between items. It REALLY needs a button, rather than a magic-modifier-key-combo. I was really upset when I found out there's no way to remove and reuse logic ne...

One thing I would never work out is that you can populate multiple armours with equipment, then swap armours (Note: I still don't know how to do that yet, I've just read you can do it. Haven't experimented much because I'm too scared to do that thing where you end up surrounded by hundreds of dropp...

I've been checking this forum every day, several times per day hoping for that answer. :-)

But a truly stable release is worth it. New people can be driven away by bugs, and a bigger community is better for everyone.

Re: rotate storage tanks on placement

I wish there were more customization options with tanks. I find it's sometimes a bit of a pain keeping things clear of the unused connections and I feel like I'd be better off if I could build a tank without them. But autorotating would be a nice thing to have half the time. The first 3 tanks I buil...

Re: [0.15.23] inserter waits too long

The term "bug" ... Bug means different things to different people. The classic definition used by programmers is "a difference between the requirements and the implementation." To get developers to take the other kind seriously, you have to say, "bug in the requirements&quo...

Graph Accumulator charge

TL;DR In the graph for power production, it would help to see how accumulator charge changes over time. What ? Add a checkbox to the electric grid window for accumulator charge. If it's checked, add accumulator charge to the graphed production. Why ? This would make it easier to manage solar instal...

Re: "Cache Chest" instead of "Buffer Chest"

I think Buffer is perfect. Normal, non-logistic chests can be used as a buffer for conveyor/inserter systems. But for a logistic network, you need a logistic chest designed for buffering.

Re: Suggest UI button to hide robots and prevent mining them

(Btw, if you grab a bot out of the sky, does it really get reloaded "for free" as Optera claims? If yes, it should at least remove the required energy from your armor.) Absolutely. I made a post here a while back about it, and it was flagged as a duplicate, so it's a well-known exploit. M...

Too many logical gaps... :)
The ghost and its neighbors would need to remember which connections it had.

All the achievements from the file are transferred to steam upon start. You could note in the achievement file if a steam account was being used, and if a different steam account is used, don't upload. Or maybe have a separate achievements file for each steam account? The solution might be to add b...

then whenever you put it in your pocket you would also get a big pile of coal or rocket fuel or whatever. That happens now. I keep my tank in my pocket in the car, in case I run into heavy trouble. So for me, it's mainly the car I worry about. I agree it's a solved problem for trains. But if it's e...

Automotive Logistics

TL;DR Cars and Tanks should have their own logistic slots like the player character to stay supplied with ammo / fuel. What ? Cars and tanks which return to base could be automatically refueled and resupplied by logistic robots. Just need one new technology which provides a small set of logistic re...
