More levels of robot speed research
The top-end robot speed isn't insanely fast yet, and the robots (particularly construction robots) can take a while to travel across a large base. So why not add a few more robot speed upgrades?

Re: Are double-signals ever useful? Do they ever make sense?
If there will only ever be one train on either side of the signal, the signal won't cause deadlocks. Only one side needs to meet this condition - the other side can be as busy as you want. They are useful for connection single-track stations, which are only serviced by one train, to a single-track t...

Re: Recip of fast inserter
So to make the jump from green to blue you have to build an entire oil industry, plastics, advanced circuits, and batteries. Smart inserters (which require fast inserters as input) are relatively complex themselves. You want to add lubricant into the mix? This is not needed IMO for 2 reasons. 1. Bl...

I read that you both need to use 32-bit, or both 64-bit, to avoid desyncs.

Just walk up to one and press ENTER - the same as cars, tanks and locomotives.

I agree with n9103 here. Who are you going to pay taxes to? Or license fees? You're literally the only person on the planet!
And there's nobody to sell things to or buy things from. The game is about survival and technological advancement, not economics.

In fact, if this doesn't fit in the game, how about adding a "solar" energy_source type for mods?

Solar boilers
There could be boilers that heat water from sunlight. Obviously they would be much slower than the fuel-burning boilers, so you'd need a lot more space for the same power.

Smaller chests would be OK if there were bigger chests (physically bigger, but with as many slots as before) as well.

Re: Reserving chest slots
You can do this with smart chest + smart inserters. Not really. This way you can only control the amount of 2 or 3 different items within in your chest. With reserved slots you would be able to create a "slow belt" which would make distributing a variety of not so often used goods within ...

Re: Option to scale up/down the GUI - Size of the GUI
I have the opposite problem. On my 1366x768 laptop screen, at the default window size (not maximized), important things often get hidden. If I'm wearing modular armour and mouse-over a miner, the "expected resource" count is hidden behind the armour battery meter. If I mouse-over a logisti...

Re: Laser turrets increase power usage with rapid use
As they stand, laser turrets are vastly overpowered, and render large amounts of other weaponry superfluous. I would like to suggest that that power draw for an individual laser turret increases during use, with it eventually overheating and shutting down if firing extremely frequently. Properly ba...

Re: Will the normal version still work after Steam release?
AFAIK you don't need to log in to play the game. The real question is: will future updates be available without Steam for people who don't like Steam? You need to log in once when you install the game ;) Only if you want automatic updates. Losing automatic updates wouldn't be a completely terrible ...

Re: yellow box in Logistic System
Active providers tell the robots to take things out of them and put them in the storage chests. The robots can also take things directly from the active provider chest.
Passive providers let robots take things from them, but do not tell the robots to move their contents into your storage chests.
