Command line mod settings file editor
Hello community, i wrote a little command line python script parser for the mod-settings.dat file. It can show all configs and alter one per call using the parameters. You can download it from https://github.com/Myricaulus/factorio_mod_settings_editor. Copy it into the same location as the settings ...

Re: Version 0.17.3
[...] unless you're a hex editing wizard [...] I looked into the mod_config.dat and it looks pretty straight forward. Ten times easier than a Diablo 2 Char editor. Would a command line tool to change single settings at a time suffice or does it need to be a fancy smancy bold high tech super rich GU...

Re: Version 0.17.3
I used to use CFAN back then, when modding was not handled well from within the game, but its in a catatonic state sadly. I liked to update my mods before i start the game to avoid double starting the game. No Mod Options though, but you could start factorio from CFAN. Does this make it a factorio l...

Can confirm this on my machine. Its nothing serious, just a odd finding. The progress seem to start after maybe 10%.

I hope the author doesnt mind me uploading it here :-D My megabase loads again. This is just a quick fix , i did not account for any migration so ...

Set filters via map view
Am i just a bit slow to not know how to change filters on inserters or splitter from map view or is it just unavailable? Currently i have to build a similar item close by, set the settings there and copy it via SHIFT Left/Right Click to change something far away which is kinda clunky. Is it by desig...

I might be drunk due to the christmas party i just attended. But i realized that the pdf was i was downloading from this forum post of the FFF 272 ( fff-271-ManageInstallUpdate-mods-gui.pdf) lacks some context. If you open it you just misses the context. Re: [0.16.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Since the idea behind this color scheme was to represent tier progression of the inserters just like what happens with the belts: the purple belt is the most expensive yet fastest belt, so purple inserter would be the most expensive and fastest inserter, but filter inserters are a mixed type of ins...

This whole discussion remembers me of the the discussion made for the Interstellar Mod of KSP about in situation resource utilization (ISRU) chemical processes. I did learn quite a lot back then about chemistry. I really appreciate your effort to make the game more "realistic" in this rega...

Well, sorry, its me again.. did you maybe forgot to add those new cobalt gears, balls and bearings to the productivity list? Also i wonder, if it is indented that you now could craft blue belt in your inventory, because you don't need any lubricant for it? Well i mean you still need 4 different resou...

Can anybody please explain to me, why the heat shield tiles are not allowed to be used with productivity modules? The other 3 rocket parts are allowed, but this one not, which really bugs me :? I locally added the corresponding line bobmods.lib.module.add_productivity_limitation("heat-shield-ti...

Re: [0.16.16] Logistic robots only picking up now and then
I had something similar with two separated logistic systems with robodock where one had lots of bots and the other had lot of work, specifically i was deforesting an big area on a mining site. The Bots just stuttered continuously and were barely able to do work. As far as i remember this issue was a...

Re: [0.15] Default map-settings.json "wrong"?
TL;DR Default value for recipe_difficulty should be 0 instead of 1 for "normal". So change this value accodingly. As far as i checked yesterday the technology difficulty should stay 1 for normal.

Re: CFAN - mod manager
I did test it, and to add one entry it also downloads some repo-list from the server. The adding does not work when this repo-list is not available since the window does not open then. Extremely unfortunately. This fact actually lead me to rebuild the program myself ;) Anyways as everything seem to ...

Re: CFAN - mod manager
So i got annoyed and rebuild the repository list myself. It is currently accessible at https://myricaulus.ddnss.de:443/repository_v2.tar.gz. To get a error free access via SSL install my CA as a rootCA from https://myricaulus.ddnss.de:443/Myricaulus-rootCA.crt To download the modified CFAN executabl...
