Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Hmm, Ok, yeah, found it. Armor and guns only, not even ammo. That said, this is for launching up into space. Nothing was really said about landing that I can find, though. They didn't cover that very well. I was thinking that landing on a planet at least allowed some gear and supplies like a new ...

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Are you not able to go to a new planet with armor and equipment in that armor? You can have personal roboports in it and thus not worry about manually chopping anything.

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
The biggest issue isn't the initial source, whether it's ore, oil, or fruit. It's the later products spoiling.
And I bet those are going to be the ones with the longest timers, unless the devs intend to bring some extra form of challenge with a quickly spoiling important item ...

EDIT: never mind, owner of the mod is Pi-C and he answered already :D for some reason I thought it was someone else
you might want to check out https://mods.factorio.com/mod/minime
it states in description that "The player's collision box will also be reduced, so you can easily get through ...

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Random consequence of having those Refrigerated Chests that are so very "demanded":
People will just build a Chest Inserter Chain to transport their Spoilers from Machine to Machine, which is NOT what the Devs want at all whatsoever. Belts are what is supposed to be used in the Game, not Chest ...

Re: Belt balancers and loaders interaction
I'm wondering if one of them looks for specifically a belt on its input/output and won't work with anything else, and thus yeah, as mmmPi suggested, try using a belt segment in-between.

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Lastly, realism should always come after gameplay. The best selling games in the world is Minecraft, and last I checked trees don’t float in the air.
Not that I necessarily want refrigeration (although I do believe it'd be neat to have), but this ending comment does make want to say that it's ...

Re: Opposite of Squeak Through
Thanks, yeah, as it's the opposite of Squeak Through, it'd obviously be incompatible with them.
And yeah, I think that's why in part I'm thinking I need the offset (after rounding up, subtract 0.01 or something from it), but I'll test it with a few things and see what happens.

Re: Opposite of Squeak Through
I haven't seen a mod like that yet, but I too would find such a mod interesting.
If nothing comes up by this weekend, I may tackle it myself. Should be relatively easy (I think ), as it should only require running through (most) all entities and simply rounding their hitboxes up (with perhaps a ...

This is already possible. I mean, how do you think I've been doing it (in the very post even you site, iirc)?

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Also, as someone clearly mentioned in a previous post (moderated I believe) that apparently multiple posts in a row, to different people, is trolling; I have attempted to condense things this time. I believe it was @FuryoftheStars who accused me of this.
You were accused of spamming , not ...

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Ah, yup, finally had a chance to reread and yeah, they don't even hint at quality. Must of been some of the comments after the fact I was thinking of, but none were of dev comments from elsewhere.
To some extent I suppose quality doesn't make a lot of sense for the perishables, though, if you think ...

Repairs is a queue, too.datarza wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 3:13 pm And here I understood the following: Factorio has two global queue in logistic network. One queue for changing something and second queue for remove something. There may even be three queues, plus one queue also for placing something new.

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
If one does care about factual information, then both of you are wrong, a single FFF has been locked so far. Not multiple, not 0.
I do share the belief that it is due to "feeding usual suspect" albeit i'm afraid it will constitute a personnal attack to say it, in case this sentence can be removed ...

None have actually been locked, yet, just moderators putting their foot down and ending the conversation. Others are still free to comment on there all they want.aka13 wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 6:58 pm Y'all are going to get another intersting FFF locked feeding the usual suspects, as you did multiple times before, I see it already.

Re: Friday Facts #414 - Spoils of Agriculture
Then the devs are contradicting themselves here.
Best times in this game are utterly ridiculous in how slow they are, at least in 1.1.
Bear in mind that a world-record speedrun is under an hour. A fast casual run takes half a real-world day. A Spoonless run has a maximum time allowable of eight ...

The problem here is, I don't quite understand the game. On one hand, they want to encourage you to build small to avoid the spoilage bottleneck, like this FFF implies. On the other hand, building as per 1.1, small is a good way to get ...

It has happened several time that i forgot the food in the microwave due to going back to play the game :D

As a casual player who doesn't find much interest in off-screen, out-of-game math,
Same, yet I don't really have an issue with it as is. A part of me would like a fridge mechanic, sure, but I don't think I'm not going to enjoy it without.
As such, I find your numbers a wee bit more than a ...
