Re: Train 2.0 question
Couldn't circuit signals be used for this? I thought they said in the FFF that interrupts could use those, or am I wrong? Maybe, but the only time for that interrupt is the departure at the unload station and I don't see how you could reasonably get access to a signal that indicates "no trains...

Use memtest, not mdsched.exe. Based on what I can find, mdsched.exe is not that great.

Re: Train 2.0 question
It’s already possible to limit how many trains can go to a given stop. Yes, but when using generic schedules trains will now switch items. If you run out of copper or it is further away than other available cargo, no train will get copper until all iron and coal and stone mines and their unload sta...

Not that I'm against this, but it just feels like a way to make a clunky solution more bearable to solve another problem: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=102615

Re: factario keep crashing every few seconds
ram is brand new, mb is brand new, hd is brand new video card is brand new low quiality but new no issues with pc ever crashing Just because it's new doesn't mean that something couldn't be faulty, or that some settings may be wrong. Factorio is also much heavier on RAM than most other games and pr...

On a more serious note, though...
Not wake up thinking about it, but definitely couldn't get to sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Re: [SOLVED] I lost all my save files after last game update (GOG+Steam)
TL;DR the quoted suggestion is not too good. Your best bet is definitely to have just one copy installed at a time. Actually, your best bet is to just have one of them in a completely different location. This is possible to do with the config files. I posted links to a YouTube vid and link to anoth...

Re: Limit number of items loader inserts into an assembly machine
If anything, I'd probably advocate for the input and output buffers on assemblers be increased some with inserters to help avoid and mitgate the exact situation mrvn described.

Re: Suggestion: Circluar belts
What about just actually looping your belt back? You can place Long-handed inserters to take from it to still feed the turrets on its way back. Or if your defenses form a complete circle, just keep the belt going all the way around (with periodic ammo injection points to prevent later sections from ...

Re: Change the R key to a mode switch for construction
Isn't there a toggle in settings to make this the behaviour? No, not really. What that setting does not do that the OP wants is automatically curve the belt in the random directions your mouse moves. ------------------------------------ Honestly, if the devs wanted to implement this as additional b...

may be i would have missed it , I get that molten lava is from the pit directly , but how do we get the molten iron or molten copper ?? Re: Factorio does not launch
Try disabling Steam cloud sync for just Factorio as well (or use the master setting for them all as a test). If doing this you can launch, then that means it's definitely an issue with whatever Steam is trying to sync to your PC.

Re: Friday Facts #388 - Smaller things for 2.0
Wonderful! I don't think I'm colorblind, but I can't see the difference between normal-ghost color and max-range-ghost color. Maybe it will be easier to notice in game. (Also, I think I will probably still default to going past max range then back most of the time, because I expect it will be smoot...
