In you TRAIN STATIONS (V.1.06) book, the Train Station IO can only enter/exit from/to one direction.
I think that it should allow both ways, something like this:

To be honest, this is more a 'user problem' that can be fixed with simple changes in a station design; for example, setting up a chest with inserter at the front (and rear, if you use it) engine at it's main unload station and fill said chest with some Coal. Switch to Requester Chests later to auto...

The Loader was abandoned because it's way to OP... Full compression and insta-collection have little to no gameplay value (no more throughput problems).

I don't think that this kind of pseudo-realism would improve the gameplay at all...
Remember, it's a game, immersion and consistency is extremely important, but neither "immersion" nor "consistency" means "realism".

The only mod worth my bandwidth is Creative Mode ... Of course I miss some features in vanilla, but I'm against mods for 2 reasons: They are (mostly) bugged, magical or OP (breaking balance) and they make hard for people to talk about some aspects of the game without entering the "Mod zone"...

You have to have no steam engine production whatsoever (not just no steam engines currently) within a full hour of solar panels producing 10GJ, iirc. And I mean a full hour even if your panels can hit the number in a minute. Open your electric network window and select the 1h time frame to verify. ...

This is one of the reasons why I mine every single ore from the ground before expanding my factory in that direction...
Also, the reason why I put pumpjacks, and rig them with pipes, in every oil patch.

immersion is very important!

I second this!

So many times I select some item in the toolbar (e.g.: pressing a number) and, instead of pressing Q, I select another item from the inventory.
Then I realize that my locked slot on toolbar is empty.

This would kill the personal roboport completely...
Instead, being able to place items only over blueprint, while preserving orientation, recipes & filters would make more sense gameplay wise...
