Re: Lock up on loading

OK, I did some basic clean up on the laptop, and the browser, and things are running a little better.

If it hangs again... it hasn't for a few days now, then I would like to resurrect this thread. Otherwise... Thanks.

Re: Lock up on loading

OK, did some timing too....
Steam version 95 seconds load.
Pure version 75 seconds load IF it doesn't lock at the 40%

Re: Lock up on loading

Sorry forgot to answer... laptop is permanently on the power cord.

What is the difference between the steam version, and the "direct from you" version? Since they are both on the same laptop, they seem to be accessing the same files, is there a way to seperate them completely?

Re: Lock up on loading

Tried this... On the Steam version it felt as if the general loading took longer but it is hard to be sure without timing it, and it varies every time.

Lock up on loading

Was having slow loading issues with the Steam version, so I loaded a new version direct from you. With the Steam version there was a pause loading at 40%. This could last from 20- 40 seconds. Sometimes pressing ESC seemed to help. With the direct version it pauses at 30% and then locks up at 40%. It...

Re: Friday Facts #234 - Office pictures

I actually greatly enjoyed this Friday Facts! Always nice to see some "behind the scenes" pictures of the office and the team. :D Hopefully the new larger office works out well. I look forward to seeing it! It's great the PvP event was mentioned here. I think there is a lot of potential f...

Re: Friday Facts #234 - Office pictures

Landmines are not OP in themselves.... the issue was that they were sprinkled like confetti throughout an enemy base. The most OP item was the PDL of Anti. These personal lasers were faster and more powerful that static lasers... illogical.

It should be at 39% as that is the point at which the loding always pauses... or hangs.

Shame... but understandable... but when will we get the 0.16.17 WITH filter splitters......PLEASE!

Oh and the mod portal.... I hadn't noticed. So is it better... don't know? How would I recognise the difference.

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts

Last chance to post before the next FFF. Last chance to make the point. Nerfing the bots, though in an ideal world would have been done from the start, cannot be practically done now. Except perhaps my suggestion to give logi-bots a schedule like trains have. But that would probably cause more hass...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts

Again for those who panic - no one is taking logistic bots away. This topic arised to probe players on the topic and to find an end solution how to make the game most interesting. So here goes another try from me to find solution of how to buff belts and not hurt bot users much. Take into considera...

Re: Friday Facts #198 - Rail segment visualisation

Is this really needed, all this colour display option. If you hover over a section of track it tells you what the Block number is, hover over an adjacent piece, if the Block number is different, it is a different block. Instead of all these colours, why cant we just have an demarcation line showing ...

Character/player name on map

On a single player game is it possible to get your name to show above the character, and on the Map view. I just can't seem to find anything that explains how to do such a basic thing.

Unable to fuel train at Chain signal

This is a minor issue, but also probably easily fixed. When my train stops at a chain signal, I have an inserter ready to refuel it. But at a chsin signal it fails to do so. I assume that the game does not recognise the "temporarily" stationary train as stopped. https://steamuserimages-a.a...

Re: Mixed mines

Better proposal: make separate tech and mines for uranium that need acid so there is no magic different picture depending on placement and mods can use the new mines as well for eg dirty mining That's a worse suggestion. No new item clutter. I have enough to manage in my inventory and toolbelt as i...
