After some deeper thoughts, it may be harder that it seams. If preview map data is "cached", and updated only after placing or removing entities (trains, ranges etc are separate layers), it may not refresh lights colors "live". Maybe once a second... And It may be hard to trace a...

So, that is flaw in Your desing - to many trains needs to use that loop to turn back. Just make roundabout at main line instead of X-ing...
Make waiting ares before roundabout if more trains want to use thet station.

Something like this, but I will just make dedicated loop way before, just above main line. And, as I see, You use Signals wrong.
